Chris Duhon’s Body, Game Falling Apart

Might want to slow things down a bit, D’Antoni: “Duhon is trying to gut it out, but he had six turnovers [last night] to give him 36 in his past eight games, an average of 4.5 per game. He’s also hit only 39.3 percent of his shots (24-for-61) from the floor in his last seven games, perhaps a sign that the guy whom Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski once said never gets tired has gotten tired. ‘He could be tired or we wore him out,’ Knicks coach Mike D’Antoni said. ‘He’s played through a lot of injuries and he didn’t have a lot of help when we played with seven guys for a long time. So, yeah, it very easily could be that he’s just not real sharp physically. And to be honest with you, he has to be sharp physically to be real good because he doesn’t have an abundance of athleticism. So we probably wore him out a little bit, but we’ve got to overcome that.’”

Does anyone still like/respect D’Antoni? Gaaaaaaaadaaaaaamn!!!!!

He needs to get with it because we need him on the court. and just because he is tired i still think Nate shouldn’t start, we need his spark of the bench as a 6 man. to me he brings more energy of of the bench, feel me?

Shame, he’ll having an Immense season up till now

they need a back up pg. not nate. hes more of a 2 guard in a really small body.

Nate is more of a 2 than a point. So, Co-Sign Witness.
Also, we shouldn’t have gotten Larry Hughes. Some games he’s good, but some games he’s simply terrible. But still, we got a pretty decent scorer from Tim Thomas, so its all good. And we all know Timmy wasn’t playing his Phoenix clutch ball in New York, so yeah…
Now to the point. Duhon was doing really, really well. I think he IS physically fatigued from all that running. But turnovers are unacceptable. He should be getting at least 10 assists a game, considering he’s the only point guard in a small rotation playing D’Antoni ball. He also shouldn’t be shooting really more than 7 field goals a game. He’ll be okay.

The Knicks need a tough point guard though. Chris Paul in the future ???
That’s a bit a stretch (though very possible), but I’m thinking the Knicks need somebody stable like Rafer Alston or Andre Miller.

I told you so…. Duhon and D’Antoni might as well be sitting in a tree….

I don’t want to gloat about saying, “Duhon’s stats are going to come crashing down once teams start reorganizing their game plan and D’Antoni runs him into the ground” but, you know, why bother, I’m always right.
Let’s keep saying that D’Antoni makes all point guards better though.

  • Harlem_World

But what is his +/- looking like? That’s all that really matters, right?
