KG Doesn’t Care What You Think of Marbury

He’s got his teammate’s back no matter what: “Garnett is well aware of the criticism Marbury has received at various NBA stops. In fact, it’s likely he had his own bone to pick when the point guard left him and the Wolves to pursue glory on warmer stages. But Garnett insists that none of what he’s heard can alter his impression. ‘That’s what you hold onto,’ he said. ‘Someone can have an opinion. It don’t make or break what you know about that person. I feel like as youths, as young guys – especially in the early parts of our career – opportunity-wise we could have did a lot of special things. But individually guys have different things they want to obtain in this league and they want in this league. So I chalked it up. Then I used to see him in the media. I never played in New York. I never experienced that. For whatever reason, it was what it was. I never assessed it, never talked about it. It was none of my business. I just watched it from the side and just knew that the Steph I know is sometimes not the same person that people perceive or put out there.’”

Not that I want to gloat or anything, but when I said Mikki Moore and Steph would do jack for the Celts and people shrugged me off, well…

Dont worry Jukai, your not gloating. I agree 100% Moore gets fouls wayyy too quick and Step is half a step slower and not very effective

I think Marbury is going to get better. He hasn’t played for a whole year so I think by playoffs he’ll be alright, but Mikki Moore has had like on good game and the rest he just fouls out. He has to step up.

That wasn’t exactly going out on a ledge there, Jukai. I mean, one player hadn’t played for almost a year and the other just can’t play.

I will be VERY surprised if the Celtics make it to the Finals

The Celtics will be lucky if they make it to the E Conf finals – with those old gimpy players they have. Good luck gramps x 3

Rondo might be their only hope

yeah that a bit weird how people and even analysts where excited about boston snatching up mikki. steph, i understand, he’s a baller and they took a chance. he could STILL get going in the playoffs once he shakes off the rust. dude hasn’t played meaningful ball in ages and no matter what you say about him, nobody can question the talent. but mikki?! i mean, people have seen him pla before right? what were they expecting?

I agree with most, that Steph will get better…he hasn’t played in a little over a year……but one thing that Marbury’s current play has proved to us is just how great Jordan was. Jordan left the game for over a year, returned and didn’t miss a beat…i mean came back and then dropped 55, thats just crazyily ridiculous….GREATNESS

    Still the favorites!

The Celtics is not a worse team this year than last year(?), because they signed Steph. If they are, they worse because they lost Posey and PJ. Picking up Steph was a good idea, they had nothing to loose.

I guess ppl thought that moore would be good cuz he had that 1 good year with kidd. But last time I checked, kidd isn’t spelled rondo

Steph used to be able to get to the cup at will, he was NEVER a great shooter. Now he only has average speed/quikness/atheleticism and he still can’t shoot. Mikki Moore…is Mikki Moore. He probably be playing better if he’d brought his snakes though.

How can you call the Big Three old when the oldest is Ray Allen at 33 then Garnett at 32 and Pierce at 31. Kobe is 30 and then Jordan was 35 when he won his last championship. As far as NBA terms go I don’t think you can sit here and call them old when there are much older guys still in the league.

Some announcer said Moore is a good pickup because he “can step out and hit a jump shot.” Same as they said about Dudley for PHX. Yeah, sure. That’s his game alright, spacing the defense with his jumpshot. He’s not even a poor man’s Haslem, who is a jumpshot/poor man’s Brian Grant including the hair(dreads not as crazy thick, instead braids-hey same for Moore). Marbury can step it up during a set group of guards by using the team scouting report and having the competitive drive to one-up them in the playoff series that are on the way where he plays them every night. He’ll be good for the C’s if he can nullify a Delonte West for example since that guy is a chemistry roleplayer for Cleveland. – and to the article KG is a people person. Shaq could for instance, but probably never would, spit fire his way and he wouldn’t blink.

Mikki Moore should be medicated. Heavily. He plays like he has a hyperactive bladder.

    i dun care either

As a non-Celtics fan, Starbury is one player I really wish well. I’ve been a long time fan, and despite whatever happened with the situation in New York, he’s a very entertaining and skilled baller.

The Celtics will make it to the Eastern Conference finals and get CRUSHED by the Cavs!
