Psycho-Analyzing the Shaq/Wade Relationship

Reading into the signs: “As much as neither wanted to admit to even the slightest bit of dislike for each other, there’s something between Shaquille O’Neal and Dwyane Wade that has somehow remained trapped in the confines of the locker room they used to share. The encounters are becoming a little less friendly each time, and they are heading to the verge of just plain chilly.”

    Yawn.

Funny how the majority of fans worship Shaq, yet many of his former team-mates don’t like him. Perhaps his natural reaction to blame anyone but himself the moment things don’t go according to plan is the reason. Or his unbelievably inflated ego. Either way, I side with the ex-colleagues on this one.

Have to side with D-wade on this one, Shaq says Kobe was the best he played with (and I respect that) but D-wade won the ‘ship with an O’Neal that was barely 60% of the player he was during the 3-peat. Talk about biting the hand that fed!!!

Can you smell that smell? A three alarm media frenzy alert is on the way. Shaq in the hot seat for as long as they can sell papers – or stories – or blogs ….

Queuing the requisite reactionary quote from Penny Hardaway…

Shaq attack has a different feel these days… Before his game was mostly on the court….

@eboy, do you think this is fabricated by the journalists or do you think there is really beef between Shaq & Wade?

Shaq is a punk. There’s no coincidence all of the players he’s been with h@te him. Even Steve Nash.

Shaqtus is a funny dude. I’m a Kobe fan and has been since shaqovic left la. I thought people forgot how great dwade was on the finals, he was murder!!! Shaqtastic is as sour as a bag of eyepoppers. But what is the league going to be without him?

  • http://slamonline.com Mike

I was people would stop saying kobe ran shaq out of LA because that because if you look at the situation there was no choice, you’re in LA you have to sell tickets, shaq was getting old and often injured if you remember while Kobe was giving his all regardless of motivation….. Jordan, scoring titles, personal accolades but he was young as he’ll though. No excuse but I know we can all relate to being young and making mistakes. He’s 30 now and look at how long he’s been coming through your tube, the greats he played against that are gone. Cut him some slack!!!!!!!

I really thought we would get another, “How does my ass taste?”-comment, when I read the opening sentence here: Fred34 Posted: Mar.5 at 11:33 am. Honestly, I am a little disappointed that it didn’t happen.

“Talk about a frontrunner….” Nice editorial in the link.

I believe a lot of what is believed by fans is media instigated and twisted to make it juicier. As far as Wade and Shaq goes we don’t really know what is up. As up front is Shaq is I would figure that if there were any bad blood he would have spoken on it. Don’t let the “not picking Wade up after Wade offensively flopped” fool you.(lol) How many of you have knocked your buddy down in a game and not picked him up? (see Zeke and Magic for pro reference)

Shaq is losing his grip on the league as a dominant player… people are talking about others as being the face of the league, etc.. Dwight Howard is the new funny guy with props, etc – Shaq is just gonna take everyone he can down with him
