“He’ll never have another game like that against us.”
Of all the great individual performances this past weekend, you could build a legit case for Derrick Rose having the best (and most memorable) one. According to Kendrick Perkins, however, you should savor what took place, because it’s the last time the Bulls’ point guard will do anything of the sort this season.
Perkins says that his team will not be humiliated on their home floor again, and certainly not by a rookie.
From the Daily Herald:
While the Bulls were thinking positive during a Sunday practice in downtown Boston, a few miles away in suburban Waltham, Celtics center Kendrick Perkins offered some interesting smack talk about the Bulls and rookie sensation Derrick Rose.
“Everybody has their night,” Perkins said, according to the Associated Press. “I know it won’t happen again. He’ll never have another game like that against us.” Perkins was referring to Rose’s 36 points and 11 assists in a 105-103 overtime victory on Saturday.
I don’t know about stopping him, but we can probably count on one thing in the next game: The C’s big men will be a lot more aggressive with Derrick when he gets into the lane, after blowing by Rajon Rondo and whoever else has the misfortune of trying to slow him down on the perimeter.
Game 2 jumps off tonight in Beantown.

LETS GET THIS SHOW ON THE ROAD!!
33 and 10, then? That would be perfect.
I have never seen another guard just iso up and blow by Rondo with no pick. Ever. That is a huge problem.
rose is so very capable of putting up numbers like that on this squad.
and if they do double up on him, just count on him having nearly double the assists as last game.
looks like derrick is still gonna have to earn some more respect, but i don’t think that’s gonna be too hard.
bulls in 6
People who think Paul Pierce didn’t have success before KG know nothing. Pierce had more success than KG ever had.
Celtics > Bulls
Perk beasted too.
I’d take the comments a bit more seriously if they were coming from someone who actually has talent and is good enough to affect the outcome of the game. Instead we have to hear it from someone who gave up 17 rebounds to a guy half his size. I’d say worry about noah having the game of his life against you first, perkins you fat sack of fat. “perkins you fat sack of fat” lol i love that line.
bulls were down by 4 without rose in the 1st quarter, even with some of those bullish calls Rondo was getting.
we led by 3 at half.
and the C’s had to rely on a nearly-last second shot to squeak out a win.
i called a big game for gordon and salmons, and salmons is gonna get his too.
no way the C’s are coming out of chicago with a win.
Who’s gonna stop him, Noah? You, ya ponytailed weedpuffer?!
Etc, etc, etc.
