And why is Joe Dumars bringing Curry back? Because he let the team run him? Because was unable to manage the roster? Because he caved in under pressure?

Oh hell nawww…. TAD, just keep moving along. Nothing to see here.
Well……another season of poorly constructed in-game management will commence in the Mo.
hey, a rookie coach, his best player was dealt after the first couple of days of the season, cut the guy some slack here.
Because of the fact the Pistons are still paying Flip, this doesn’t surprise me. However, the honeymoon for Curry is over. If he doesn’t improve next season, he should be gone. Thing is, I think Dumars may give him a pass for next season as well because of the roster being gutted.
Hahahaha.. at least I no longer have to root for the Pistons seeing as AI won’t be back. Or will he? Nah, just playing.
TADOne is right. He gets a pass because Detroit is not trying to win next season. They are waiting for their shot in hell chance at LeBron in 2010.
Step 1: Get LeBron.
Step 2: Get real coach.
Step 3: Championship.
Step 4: Trade LeBron and rebuild.
Not that I necassarily agree with that, Mike. They have no chance at getting LeBron. They really have little chance at any of those guys in 2010. Economics weighed heavily in this decision to keep Curry around.
Does this constitute as tanking?
they said the pistons needed discipline under flip, it wasn’t only the loss of Bills because Michael Curry absolutely KILLED this veteran team by trying to be a “tough coach”. Rasheed too because of his refusal to be a dominate post guy, he wants to shoot 3′s all the time killed this team! I think Dumars is putting too much into Stuckey because I don’t think he’s that good. But anyway, Curry can’t be the guy to be getting into vets because he got punished by them all at one point or another. The pistons won’t win anything with Curry coaching and Wallace playing!!!
they should kept flip.. that or billups…
Not surprised, but (almost) speechless nonetheless. As of right now, I’m not sure I even consider Curry to be a basketball coach, let alone at the NBA level. The players have to get their share of the blame, but just a f*cking horrible job from MC anyway.
Iverson said a few years ago when he was in Phili that unless you are the favorite to win the championship, everything has to go perfect. So, if things aren’t going perfect for the psitons, they pretty much know they are not gonna win which takes a lot of focus away.
Joe Dumass. you suck. If its possible to kill a deadman after hes dead he sure did to Bill Davidson.
its time for the pistons to trade all their vets and start over
They’ll be fine, they just need a new frontcourt, backcourt, and coach…lol. Seriously though, I think they’ll make some moves that will allow them to be relevant again in 2 or 3 years. Oh yeah, there is like a 0% chance of getting LBJ…Realistic targets are Boozer, Milsap, Kaman, Chandler, West, Lee, and possibly Artest. All nice players, but hardly enough to become a contender next year.
I said it before. This team, with it’s aging leaders as the hold-over from an amazing run into the post season for 6+ years, cannot compete with Stuckey as their “best/primary” player…. Welcome to the new era Piston fans. Brace yourself for underachievement.
