Phil Jackson: Nothing Wrong With a Playboy Mansion Visit

The Zen Master took the Andrew Bynum “controversy” in stride: “I think there’s a lot being made out of that that is unnecessary,” Jackson said before Tuesday’s game against Charlotte. “This is a young guy. I don’t think Andrew is 22 yet, is he? He’s a 21-year-old guy. He’s been out of basketball 5 1/2-6 weeks. He’s got to have some energy and vent and have some fun. Now I don’t know if putting a girl on your shoulders…The fact that people are beating him up over that, I think that’s crazy. Andrew is doing fine and he’s going to be fine.”

Wow, I’m surprised about Phil’s lack of sarcasm here. He must finally be mellowing out.

I think the cameras only caught one member of the Lakers organization there. :P

course he’d have no prob. with that. He was (is?) dating the owner’s daughter who also appeared in the mag. He’s probably obligated by contract to always say positive things about mansion.

this is why I think Phil is still the best in the game.

he could coach Dennis Rodman because to Jackson it was important what Rodman did ON the court, not off the court.
So as long as Bynum can come back healthy, it’s all fine with the Zen Master.

Did anyone watch the Apprentice sunday night? Before Rodman got fired he said Phil told him he was the greatest player he has ever coached, they asked him even better then Jordan and he said yes. Rodman it off the charts. Glad I caught an episode before he got fired.

Rodman said THAT? Why do i get the feeling MJ, Pip, Shaq and co. (yeahhhh, Mambiatch too) will hear about this and just shrug. Well except MJ, he’ll be fuming. Worm, worm.

Yeah, it’s pretty sad that he had an alcohol addiction in 2009.
Here’s to hoping Jesse James wins the whole thing.

Breaking news: Bynum was just covering for Kobe, who was caught yet again in the act of adultry.
