Stephen Curry, NYC Dreamin’

The former Davidson star would love to play in front of the MSG patrons: “That would be a dream come true,” Curry told ESPN 1050 yesterday when asked about the possibility of being drafted to New York.  “One, to play with an NBA jersey; two, to play at Madison Square Garden every night; three, to play in front of the greatest NBA fans — I think it would be something I would look forward to and I would work very hard to help my team, if that was the case, to be better,” he said. “I think, with my pointguard skills, I could add a lot to the New York Knicks.”

“To play in front of the greatest NBA fans” – Way to alienate yourself to all the other 29 NBA teams fans there kid.

This is an all time new. Selling yourself to a particular team before the draft.

aww man i could see him rockin that #30 for the knicks…as long as benard king gives him the okay

  • Coach Master

Sheesh. He said the same thing here last week.

If the Knicks use a top 5 pick on this kid they are being foolish. I mean do we have any proof he’ll be better than lil Nate?

  • Coach Master

A 30 teams get the same pitch. He just applies White Out and retypes the replacement team name.

  • Coach Master

He is no Nate that is fur sure.

Apparently if the Knicks don’t move up from the #8 spot in the draft they plan on drafting him. I’m sure if he could pick a system to play it would be D’Antoni’s, so he’s got to be crossing his fingers it pans out.

DUDE IS SICKKK BUT NOT THE SICK GOOD ENOUGH FOR DI’ANTONI…IF THEY DO GET HIM, DI’ANTONI IS GOING TO WHIP HIS ASS AND DISCIPLINE HIM, WHICH I HIGHLY DOUBT…I THINK HOMEBOYS THE NEXT A.I.

  • Coach Master

Dude can’t create his own shot, is too smart for SG and to slow for PG. You can have him I don’t want him he’s not too sick for me.

  • Coach Master

    smart = small

Quoting Coach on this one. Not for truth, but as a reminder when he’s leading all rooks in scoring next season.

  • D12FSU

The Knicks will draft him ONLY BECAUSE he and Lebron are good friends

Yes. Do it. Do it now. NOOOOWWWW.

I strongly disagree. I think the Lakers have the best fans.

The Knicks do need another exciting young player. Plus he would strive in D’Antoni’s system.

New York needs a true back up point guard with an arsenal in mind if they dont plan on resigning krypto-Nate. I wanna D-Lee back in uniform next season for them. He’s their best and most consistent player.

Man, I’m always on the look out for New Yawk talent. If this kid IS really as good as they say he is, come on down to the Knicks! We the fans would love to have another New Yorker playing at MSG.

i think him, wilson, and david lee would make a great team. i really do, i would love seeing david lee, and nate rob.
go like nate rob, curry, wilson, harrington, david lee.’i like that team.

  • Coach Master

Ryne, Steph is a great kid a real character guy with a big heart. But in a world of 6’4″ and over SGs, he will not be able to shoot over anyone. Steph is generously 6’1.5″ Now, as for being a PG, does anyone seriously think his handle could eventually meet today’s standard for the NBA? I’d love to see how his foot speed compares to the PG norm. I bet not favorably. He is able rapped for an inability to finish at the rim.

Curry playing for D’Antoni? I’m giddy.

    Curry in, Curry out.

If they can get rid of Eddie.

  • BdoubleU

I don’t want anybody with that name in the Garden ever again. I don’t care how young and babyfaced they are.

  • SD

    Curry this year
    LeBron next year
    Phil the year after
    bank on it

  • BKLYN C

WHAT THE H$%%^&L, CURRY AT THE GARDEN WOULD BE JUST RIGHT, THAT BOY GOT THE SWEETEST JUMPER SINCE ALLEN HOUSTON, WHY NOT TAKE HIM AND HE WOULD BE PERFECT IN THE SYSTEM, WIDE OPEN THREE. I SEE THE BOY GETTING ATLEAST 20 A GAME NEXT YEAR, REMEMBER I SAID IT HERE FIRST, SUUCKERS

  • chintao

BKLYN C’s comment resonates with me. I’ve hardly seen the kid play, but something about Curry says he might be H2O 2.0. Contrary to what BKLYN C says, that would not be cause for celebration. The Waterboy was one of the most gutless and overrated players ever to suit-up. The Garden doesn’t need to see that again. Jonny Flynn, come on down.
