After what seemed like countless injury-plagued seasons, Grant Hill landed in Phoenix where he hoped to have a chance to showcase his undeniable talents. Whether Hill’s smile is caused by the opportunity for a shot at the title he was given by the Suns, playing with Steve Nash, or his beautiful surroundings, he certainly was enjoying his time on the water.—Adam Fleischer

    That boat is sick.

Poor Grant. In case you wondered if life was fair – just look at him for confirmation that it’s not. Enjoy the boat and try not to get kidnapped – apparently Az is becoming a hotspot for cross-border quick $$ schemes.

Hmm..making about $180k for each game you sit out on? I’d like that unfair life.

G Hill is still the man. He was the only professional not complaining and jumping their sinking ship.

Grant Hill has always been one of my favorite players…a true class act. He was arguably the best SF in the league before he was hurt. Too bad his career had to be messed up w/ injuries.

Everybody look at Hill cause he’s standing on a boat (standing on a boat)

didn’t that scar come from his bout with the staph infection that nearly killed him? they had to graph some tissue or skil from his elbow or something?.. i can’t remember clearly, but anybody who can’t appreciate grant hill’s love for this game doesn’t know his story.. 4 surgeries, 1 staph infection that almost kills him, and the man still works hard, comes back to play 82 games last season shooting over 50%, and can still dunk on anybody in any given game, DESPITE having more than 90 million guaranteed and the option to retire 4 years ago? nothing but love for GHill..

The cannonball and laughing grin pics should’ve ran with the story in the mag rather than just the boring scar showing boat wading, and blank faced steering it around. But glad they show up post-issue on SLAM-ONLINE. Dope.
