Dirk Requests Sole Custody of Child

Of course, that’s if the court determines he is Crystal Taylor’s baby daddy: “Dallas Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki wants sole custody of his ex-girlfriend’s unborn baby, now a Jefferson County inmate, if it’s proven he is the father, according to a petition filed last week in a Dallas County courthouse. [...] She was served at the jail Monday with a petition to adjudicate parentage.”

    Well, in Germany you are rightfully entitled to so-called “Elternzeit”, which means you can stay at home with your kids for 12 months (14 if you have sole custody) while still receiving two/thirds of your salary AND you have guarantueed job safety during that time frame for your return… so you can expect him to miss the next season

    Surely he will not be given the Elternzeit while being employed in America … but you have to imagine somebody like him staying at home, receiving 60 mill for doing nothing (except that raising a child is a lot more thán “doing nothing”)
