Jerry Buss: Gambler, Not a Big Fan of Title Parades

The Lakers’ owner was spotted at a casino while his team celebrated the title with over 100K screaming fans: “Orlando fans weren’t the only ones who couldn’t care less about the Los Angeles Lakers’ victory parade yesterday. Jerry Buss — the dude who owns the team lock, stock and barrel — had better things to do … playing poker at a cheesy casino all by his lonesome.”

    methinks jerry west had more than a small role in the pau trade. how does memphis go from picking which of deng, thomas, gordon, nocioni, etc. they want to dumping him for kwame/javaris? black helicopters

    Deng wasn’t overpaid two years ago.
    BG still had a year+ left on his old (reasonable)deal.
    Nocioni was coming off a big season, not sure if he had gotten his raise yet
    Tyrus I can understand them passing on b/c they already had Stromile
    Face it: that trade was total BS, and was one of the worst recent example of cronyism in sports.

    I think that trade kept Memphis in good shape. Look at them now, they have young talent. They weren’t going anywhere with Pau Gasol. That trade also helped them land a good pick which ended up in O.J Mayo.

    If this guy was a member of ‘the bawling society’ he wouldnt need to gamble, as he would live a gamble, thus gambling would be normal, thus he would not need to endure extra doses of it.

    IF YOU DID SOME RESEARCH, DR BUSS DOESNT ATTEND PARADES, HE NEVER HAS, NOT EVEN IN THE BACK TO BAKC TO BACK ERA.. HE DOESNT LIKE THE TRAFFIC HERE IN CALI, WHICH IS HORRIBLE!!
