Celtics Agree to Deal With Daniels

Over the weekend, the Boston Celtics agreed to a deal with free agent Marquis Daniels. The 28-year-old played for the Pacers for the past three years, and last year averaged career highs in points (13.6) and rebounds (4.6). Last month the Pacers declined a $7.35 million option on Daniels. After averaging upwards of 30 mpg last season, Daniels will be counted on to provide minutes off the bench when Ray Allen and Paul Pierce rest. After signing Rasheed Wallace recently, the Celtics may still be in the market for a point guard.
