  co-sign russ. i don’t see sheed chasing rings at a bargain price… he’s got one and he kinda doesn’t give a eff about baskebtall anymore (that was made obvious by the way he ‘competed’ in the playoffs). he’ll go where they’ll pay more.

  So, Celts get Sheed, he comes off the bench behind KG, and Big Baby gets… what? Traded? Sent to the D-League? Sheed on the Celts makes no personnel sense to me. The rumor about him going to the Spurs seemed more logical, from the standpoint of a good team fit.

  I think it will take some amazing negotiating to get Sheed to come to Boston. But if Garnett is part of any meeting, I imagine Sheed could be persuaded. There will be many F bombs to be had.

  Sheed wouldn’t come off the bench. Perkins moves to the bench( and probably throws a fit about it), Garnet becomes the C and Sheed starts at the 4. As far as his quitting on the Pistons, they were screwed from the get go when Dumars traded Billups for Iverson. One of the worst trades ever. I saw what happened to the Pistons coming a mile away!

  Rasheed and Ron Artest are the last of the enforcers… I don’t think I’ve seen Sheed actually fight that much, but when he’s mad he’s flat out scary. Awesome guy on and off the court, though. He’ll fit right in with the Celtics. My man!

  @Jonathon: KG wouldnt be the C. he would do the jump balls at the beginning of games, but thats it. Sheed would actually play the 5. but wut i wanna know is WHERE DO THE CELTICS GET ALL THIS CAP SPACE??????!!!!!!!

  I dunno why Sheed is all of a sudden a center (since big Ben left D). Centers are supposed to be bangers, fighters under the basket, receivers of put-backs. Not 3 point shooters. Sheed avoids contact at any means. Hes a great player, but hes not overly tough, nor a center.

  Sheed only gets mad at the refs. I think he threw a towel at the only player he got mad at. Please come to Boston ‘Sheed. I got four years of you when I was in Portland. I want more. Perk should come off the bench if this happens.

  Whether or not “Sheed” goes with Boston, it’s like this…………he’ll either be a part of the team, and contribute in a team-minded effort, or he won’t last a season………. Danny and Doc want a team effort – not one prima donna thinking he can do it all by himself……
  and NO ONE can……..Boston’s glory years (with Danny, McHale, DJ, Bird, and Parrish) were a real team effort – no one single player was responsible for the dynasty – Larry Bird will be the first one to say that…….. I have full faith in whatever Danny decides to do – I watched him the first night he set foot on the old Garden’s parquet floor, and knew he was going to be one of the best in the game…..
  he knows the game as well as anyone could – if he
  feels that Rasheed will fit in, he knows what he’s talking about – and don’t forget, money doesn’t always count – it’s the title, the prestige, and the satisfaction of a team victory in the finals that tells the tale…the Celtics mystique – and Celtics pride…….. If he joins the Celtics, it will be with that understanding, and we Celtics fans will once again celebrate another Celtics championship, and yet ano6ther banner will be raised into the Garden rafters………..
