Coach K on Job With Lakers: I`ll Pass

If Phil Jackson chooses not to return, Mike Krzyzewski (a Kobe favorite) says the Lakers shouldn`t bother calling him:  “Take Mike Krzyzewski off the list of potential future Lakers coaches. He has no interest in taking over the job whenever Phil Jackson leaves. The longtime Duke coach said Tuesday that he is “not going to the Lakers” and that he won’t leave Duke `until I leave coaching.`”

    It’s yet another media-fueled rumor. They started it, not him. Personally, I’m glad he’s staying. This would definitely be the year to leave, as Duke went from sure-fire Final Four contender to sure-fire 1st round exit in a matter of a month.

    So scared Seed, that he left for a summer and coached some of the best (and some would say selfish) players in the world to a gold medal. Why leave when you still have to overtake dean smith in victories just for a few more Kobe years and a potentially long rebuilding period? I’d stay in Durham too.

    ^^who’s rebuilding?? noone is over 30 except for kobe and fish. this laker team is gna be on top for a whileee. that being said, i wouldn’t want coach K on the sidelines anyway, he’s great with the college system, which is also the olympics system (hence, the gold), but he probably won’t be able to do well in the NBA. The media should just stop putting his name into all these rumors.

    Coach K is the Dookie blue Devils mascot. It has been documented well already just like D’Antoni is the Pringles guy.
