Minny’s Search for a Coach Continues

That David Kahn fella sure likes to take his time: “Now that he’s back from four days in Spain that he termed ‘productive,’ David Kahn is embarking upon his second — and presumably final — round of interviews for a coach to replace Kevin McHale, a decision that presumably could come by the end of the week. Former NBA point guard Mark Jackson, Lakers assistant coach Kurt Rambis and Houston assistant Elston Turner on the short list — with Jackson and Rambis clearly the frontrunners — in a search in which Kahn appears to have interviewed more than a dozen candidates, including Wolves assistant Jerry Sichting. League executives long have considered Jackson the favorite, but those in the know in the league think Rambis is getting strong consideration.”

in other news, Minny is also still looking for a roster ready to compete in the western conference

It would be ironic if Kurt Rambis gets the coaching gig. Taking over form the guy who gave him the clothesline from hell that nearly decapitated him.

i’ll do it for 50 thousand a year they wont need a coach with talent they’re gonna need a motivational speaker for the next few years.

Maybe they should find a foreign guy to coach to get Rubio playin… seriously though why not Avery Johnson? Wouldn’t Minni be willing to give him the long deal he’s lookin for?

I honestly can’t tell if David Kahn is a serious GM or if he is just jerking around the TWolves owner as payback for the McHale years?

Rambis will be the better coach, but what the hell, appoint Marc Jackson!!!!!!!!!!
