Nate Robinson to Greece?

Well, if Olympiakos has its way, that could very well happen: “Apparently Olympiakos is targeting Nate Robinson with a boatload of cash. As they did a season ago with Josh Childress, the Greek team is hoping to sign Robinson as another ticket-seller, who would easily be a bigger star there…The Knicks might actually have no problem with Robinson taking the Greek offer, mainly because not have to pay him and still could use him as a trade asset. Coincidentally, Robinson has been in Europe making appearances at basketball camps. He is an immensely-popular NBA player who might be the type to strike it rich in Europe as a fan attraction. But he is also the type that would likely prefer to remain in the NBA.”

He actually wouldn’t be half bad in Greece, unlike Childress, who was an awful, awful choice.

Oh please God, don’t let this happen. Please please please. Nate is tenth in the NBA in jersey sales for a reason, please don’t let him go to Europe.

Oh come on!First Boykins and now NBA is losing another short guy.I wanted Nate to be in a championship contender team.

This would b good 4 da game over here but who’d challenge LeBron in the Dunk Contest?

  • Josh D Posted: Jul.14 at 3:14 pm
Jukai,an awful choice? Olympiakos or any other European teams don’t get to choose which player they have from the NBA, they just go with the best one

  • luke Posted: Jul.14 at 6:01 pm
He meant that it was an awful choice for them to sign him period, not that they could have had ANY nba player or anything.

    Mo money Mo problems

  • Alpha-bet Posted: Jul.14 at 11:50 pm
They need to keep Nate in the NBA just for the Dunk Contest alone..lol..

  • Blaze Posted: Jul.14 at 11:50 pm
Players who leave the NBA for Europe to me seems they dont have enough belief in themselves to shine on what is still the highest level of competitive basketball in the world. Seems like an easy way to look wayyy better then they actually are. Reminds me of a star high school athlete who prefers to play against 7th graders.

I dont think its so much about the money, even the lowest of nba salary is enough to take care of the average Joe for a lifetime.

  • Rusty Posted: Jul.15 at 12:26 am
Blaze how ignorant can you be, this is all about the money. Once your making money, you wanna make more money.

  • Dusty Posted: Jul.15 at 2:12 am
    Blaze is a fool.

  • Negetivekreep Posted: Jul.15 at 3:46 am
@Blaze, tell that mess to spreewell.
Hell tell that to the kids that walked out early from The Reebok all – American camp. Some of whom were camp all star game starters!
(good job by Franklyn on the article btw)
the game is a mealticket. With this economy it’s about the love of greenbacks.
    But i respect ur ideals.

just gonna throw this one out there… i dont like nate robinson

  • Boston Baller Posted: Jul.15 at 8:36 am
Right now the European teams are going after mid level talent players in my opinion., players that are always “on the verge” of bigger things. Please STOP bringing up the dunk contest b/c I like Nate but w/out props and aids AND lack of hieght points he wouldn’t win and as far as facing James in it I hope James has dunks that we haven’t seen from him so far b/c his stuff isn’t that exciting…No folks I’m not “hating” James just stating my opinion. (He is a Beast!!)

Blaze: Sorry dude, yer 100% wrong about this one.

  • chintao Posted: Jul.15 at 9:44 am
wassup posts the most unexpected line on the thread. I mean, sure Nate bagged his first dunk title in excrutiating fashion. Still, it’s rare to find someone who just doesn’t like him.

Feel free to agree or disagree with comments, people are entitled to their opinions. No need to be insulting Dusty, ya schmuck.

  • Blaze Posted: Jul.15 at 2:39 pm
I just felt that to some people money isn’t the ONLY thing, thought maybe one would want to be in a situation to challenge themselves to be the best they can be. If my job paid me a million dollars a year, and I was offered the same job in Europe for 2 million a year, I would stay in the country I love.

  • Rusty Posted: Jul.15 at 9:23 pm
Sorry blaze, didnt mean to insult you..also imnot really sure what a schmuck is, I thought the only people who used that word were on seinfield..

  • Rusty Posted: Jul.15 at 9:25 pm
ok blaze i take my previous post back, I thought you had made a typo when you wrote Dusty, and were actually refering to me(Rusty). Just to clarify, i did not call you a fool.

  • Blaze Posted: Jul.15 at 11:52 pm
No hard feelings towards anybody. I value everybodys opinions good bad or otherwise. (about basketball, not me being a fool)
