Nets Want Warrick and ‘Big Baby’

New Jersey just doesn’t have any room for them: “Two power forward free agent names have resurfaced on the Nets’ landscape, Hakim Warrick and Glen ‘Big Baby’ Davis. The Nets have made strong inquiries about both players. Now, if only they could free up a roster spot…The Nets, though, are working with the burden of 15 guaranteed contracts.”

Either of them would be a great addition to the team.

Nets want Big Baby? Maybe that’s why Burger King is in doubt.

Big baby wont budge and Hakim will beg to not be shopped

i was about to say Hakim would be a nice asset, but then i remembered NJ already has a thin, near 7 footer, whos not really a PF, but not really a SF, and would rather shoot than drive or post…you only need 1 of those on a team

hakim is one of the most underrated in the league.

Lopez and Big Baby would be an average frontcourt, Harris and Lee is an average backcourt… they must really be bankin on Lebron.

Why they already have so many big men with Williams, Boone, Yi, etc. and Warrrick could possibly end being I hate to say it another Stomile Swift and both the Nets and Grizzlies dealt with so why go down the same path?

well, Warrick proved that he can score, and the Nets need a forward who can score, that’s why.

Warrick needs to go to Jersey and get a starting position. Baby needs to stay put, cause Powe isn’t that good of a back-up for KG.

Warrick will be a nice addition, he might complement Yi at the defensive end, where Yi is a liability…

@BBK – Powe is absolutely a good backup for KG, and he even plays the 5 (his showing during the 2008 Finals is a great example for both aspects). He was hurt in these past playoffs so Baby had his chance to shine. Powe could be starting if he weren’t in Boston.
