    Pacers Ink Earl Watson

Larry Bird says that Watson was Indy’s big fish, and they managed to reel him in: “Point guard Earl Watson loves to practice and hates to lose. Those similarities should make Watson and Jim O’Brien the perfect pair. Watson signed a one-year deal for almost $3 million with the Pacers on Tuesday. ‘I feel he’s the best (free agent point guard) out there,’ Pacers president Larry Bird said. ‘(Allen) Iverson’s out there, but for what we need, he’s the best for us.”‘

I thought the TJ Ford/Jarret Jack duo was pretty good but who knows what Larry’s thinking of.

why do the pacers need to bring in a new point guard every year? Did I miss a dramatic downfall with T.J. Ford last year?
