Ramon Sessions to New York?

The Knicks are reportedly going to make an offer to the Bucks’ guard: “With Steve Nash out of the picture for 2010 after he agreed to a two-year contract extension with the Suns, Knicks president Donnie Walsh is again zeroing in on young Bucks point guard Ramon Sessions. Walsh is on the verge of making Sessions a long-term, mid-level offer for roughly $26 million, the player’s agent told The Post yesterday. Walsh met with veteran free agent point guard Andre Miller yesterday at the team’s Westchester facility, but the Knicks look at the 33-year-old Miller as a one-year rental, making him a longshot option.”

DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT. A big market to showcase his skills (let all the doubters who never saw him play see him on the biggest stage their is: MSG, then they will change their minds!) + a coach that would work perfectly with him! This is bound for success. I feel bad for Duhon though.

  • riggs

ever since they picked up duhon i always knew he was their second or third option. im sad at steve not coming to NY but maybe PHX can trade?

  • Richie

I agree with you riggs, i thought if there was a free agent in 2010 that the Knicks could get, it would be Nash, but with his signing it doesnt look good. Sessions would be a welcome addition, most def. They really need to suck it up and sign David Lee already.

Milwaukee would match that low offer.

  • http://www.hibachi20.blogspot.com BETCATS

^no they wont, they have Jennings, no need for a better version of him in Sessions.

  • riggs

    lol @ BET

  • http://www.shawn-kemps-offspring.blogspot.com/ TADOne

I don’t think Skiles is going to start a rookie PG, even one as talented as Brandon.

  • http://www.hibachi20.blogspot.com BETCATS

^then he has Luke Ridnour. Sessions needs to get to NY now. Its the best fit.

  • http://lastknickstanding.blogspot.com Bryan

Skiles has a man crush on luke and he doesn’t need 3 pgs especially since he doesn’t seem to really like sessions please let this happen , although we still need someone to score the f*cking ball.

  • K

This better go down. The past decade has been tough enough for us Knicks fans – we need this to go right.

  • http://www.hibachi20.blogspot.com BETCATS

Shia, have faith in Larry Hughes! With the right point guard beside him, he can score.

  • http://lastknickstanding.blogspot.com Bryan

I actually forgot about hughes hopefully he brings it back to his g state and washington days. Cause we really need someone who can just get us buckets when we need them.

  • http://transition3.wordpress.com Leo

I hope this happens. With 2010 looking less and less promising, it’d be nice for 1 good thing to happen for Knick fans.

    Hughes played for G state?!

  • http://www.blogs.myspace.com/originadro Witness

I like the idea of Razor Ramon playin in NY. I think the Knicks need to resign Lee though. I mean the man produces like a Chris Bosh would.

  • Josh D

Y didn’t they go 4 him before Nash?

  • http://ballislife.com Moose

I want Ramon Sessions in Boston. Not that it’s going to happen, but…dude has some serious skills.

  • http://www.hibachi20.blogspot.com BETCATS

why do you want Ramon in Boston? So he can watch Rondo play? NO THANK YOU, RAMON TO NY FTW!

  • http://hibachi20.blogspot.com Blinguo

    Ra(Y)Mon + D’Antoni = 10+ AST/Game – Harrington = 6-7 AST per game.

Yeah, GSDubz had Larry Hughes, they signed him immediately after his 0 made dunks vs Vince Carter All Star game performance I believe. True Free Agent talent scouts in Oakland, secretly working for Washington as Jamison/Arenas/Hughes became Warriors East in the Nation’s Capital.

  • http://www.hibachi20.blogspot.com Hursty

So, ANYWAYS, I’m just going to agree with BET.

  • Rusty

I would love for this to happen. This kid is the future.

  • http://www.triplejunearthed.com/dacre Dacre

D’Antoni’s stat enlargening offense would make this guy look like a top 3 PG in the East – If only it meant the Knicks would win games though.

  • dre

is he that good i didnt see him play and his stats dont show

  • http://slamonline Blaze

I dont know much about him except what is written. Bucks are never on tv, and when they came to town, I gave the tickets to a “friend”.

  • http://www.hibachi20.blogspot.com Hursty

Dacre – if the kid can have multiple 20assist games on a DEPLETED Bucks team, then he may already be a top 3 guard in the East. He scored the ball too, and he’s above average quickness, and can play both guard spots.
If he can get strong minutes in an uptempo team with shooters on it then yeh, statistically he’s right there.
Sure, he has to prove that he can be a fulltime starter first, but yeh, given time he could be a top 3.

  • Teddy-the-Bear

YES. YES. YES. DO THIS DONNIE.THIS GUY HAS ALL-STAR POTENTIAL. DO THE RIGHT THING.

  • http://adfji.com Jukai

Hursty: considering his career high is 17, I’m guessing there may be some hyperbole in your statement.

  • http://www.hibachi20.blogspot.com BETCATS

Jukai is some form of a retarded person. I still cant believe how the hell he gets Ramon’s 2008-2009 season high of 17 assists confused with his career high of 24? Awe-inspiring sh!t. Other stuff Ramon did last season: Score 44 points, have 9 TRIPPLE DOUBLES (ranking 9th overall in the league), make 18 free throws, and have the 9th best assist to turnover ratio (2.97) in the entire league. The only thing that kept Ramon from all-star status with Scott Skiles. Playing Ramon 6-12 minutes a game 11 times and 13-20 17 times! He wont run into that problem in NY. And you guys also forget Ramon has only been in the NBA 1 1/4 seasons, yet he is still amazing. SESSIONS FTW!

  • http://www.hibachi20.blogspot.com BETCATS

*with scott skiles = was scott skiles

  • http://sjsu.edu davidR

i was hoping the warriors could pick ramon up somehow

  • http://sjsu.edu davidR

and yes, ramon is very underrated and talented. if he gets moved to ny, just watch his stats skyrocket.

  • http://slamonline.com/ niQ

Well if D’antoni could make Duhon look good, Sessions would be the next steve nash. (except i don’t see him taking many 3′s..)

  • Teddy-the-Bear

BET is right about Ramon. Don’t sleep on this cat. Like I said, he’s going to be an all-star in New York. Oh and Bryan, Larry Hughes should never be the leading scorer, idiot.
Wilson Chandler is going to breakout soon, people!

  • DurO

Ramon is no slouch and a perfect fit for the Knicks. Young, athletic, could shoot from the perimeter (he ain’t no Ray Allen but he good) and he could penetrate and being that the Knicks are flooded with phony shooters and finishers, he’ll compliment them beautifully.

Oh and BETCATS…. Since when did Sessions have 9 Trip/dbls last season? He had A (one) triple double. He also avg 27 minutes per game last year. Who is this guy, someone get him a blunt and tell him to lay off the crack.

  • http://slamonline Blaze

lol. BETCATS is some form of funny.

  • http://www.hibachi20.blogspot.com BETCATS

check NBA.com duro. And ive always considered myself more of a magic mushroom user then crackhead! lol
