Rasheed Completes Move to Boston

It’s basically been a done deal for a week, but today the Celtics will hold a news conference officially announcing Rasheed Wallace’s signing. The four-time All-Star and 14-year vet, agreed to a three-year-deal that will pay him $5.8 million next season. The Celtics hope that teaming Wallace with Kevin Garnett (a close friend of his), Paul Pierce and Ray Allen will help them return to the NBA Finals. It now seems highly unlikely that Glen “Big Baby” Davis will be returning to Boston next season.

    And the old get older.

Three years is one more than expected, but with the salary Rasheed’s making, the extra year won’t shackle the Cs much.

All good. I like the Spurs additions better as a fit though.

The whole “old” thing is getting old. Just because they are all in their 30′s doesn’t meant they aren’t still elite players in the league and more than capable of winning it all again.

Damn I have to root for the C’s too. If Marbury returns, they gonna be in my personal top 5.

Well, I just read Steph won’t be a Celtic next year.

As long as Sheed still does his dance in the circle, I am fine with this move.
