  I was listening at the time (I sent one of those emails to Ben). I don’t think he’s crazy. This is how he’s been for a decade, ever since I first met him. This is Steph, 100 pct. Everyone else is just afraid to be honest or say the wrong thing.

  Its always the same young haters talkin smack and not respecting he hood legends.Starbury averaged over 20 and about 8-9 assits for most of his career. All he gets remembered for is his last 2 years with the Knicks.

  Didn’t Dave Chappelle note that calling somebody “crazy” is one of the worst insults you can dish out? It allows you to completely ignore the substance of anything they say because you’ve decided that don’t possess the intelligence to speak on anything.
  I think we should be careful calling Marbury crazy. Nothing I read in the excerpts on Yahoo Sports sounded crazy.
  His comments about Stockton, for instance, were absolutely true.

  We all know that athletes have outsized egos. Starbury saying he’s the best in the league, even though we know he’s not, is just him psyching himself up similar to the way lots of players do. Does it make him “crazy” to have an inflated opinion of himself?

  As an objective statement it is crazy.As I’ve already pointed out, I don’t think he’s crazy,just an ego-maniac, but as you said what’s so new about pro athletes being egomaniacs? Having said that, I don’t find him very entertaining,either. I mean how condescending are the ‘Starbury,you so craz-ay’ comments? He’s become a cartoon.

  That was so fun last night. Marbury was just a one-man show. And when it was time to get serious, he answered questions honestly and frankly. What a breath of fresh air that was with all the garbage on the internet. The best line of the night was when he told the tech-guy, “Rondo will have a jumpshot by the time you get this going..!” Thx Starbury.

  Steph has better career numbers than some we consider HOFers, Steph does speak his mind which is refreshing for an athlete. Steph can be a bit out there but so can we all at time except we don’t have cameras and mics around. If Steph went to a decent team and they handed over the keys to him he could make some noise. The craziest thing about Steph is his tats and most athletes have some ink that they will regret later in life.
