Welcome to Portland, Hedo

Turkoglu is the newest member of the Blazers: “Hedo Turkoglu has reached an agreement in principle to join the Portland Trail Blazers, according to sources. Although a verbal commitment may be announced sooner, the terms of the contract cannot be finalized until Wednesday when the NBA informs teams what the 2009-10 salary cap will be.”

Are they gonna play eight guys at the same time?

  • POE Posted: Jul.3 at 4:39 pm
…and somewhere in the world, Rudy sheds a tear.

Hedo, Welcome to….No Chance in Hell [at winning]. Sorry. But good job getting your loot, you’ll be a KING in Turkey.

    so its done.

Rudy it’s going to stay in Europe.

  • niQ Posted: Jul.3 at 4:50 pm
I never understood why Rudy was so worried about this. Don’t they play different positions? Don’t tell me Rudy plays Small forward…

Rudy should go back the Phoenix where he belongs.

Good riddance, the Magic didn’t need another play-making forward who only takes good shots within the offense when they have Vince Carter.

    No…

Portland is so talented, it’s ridiculous. There are so many good players on that team, I don’t know how they’re going to do it, but they’re good, they’re really, really good. This will be one of the best teams to watch next season, no doubt. (and maybe OKC)

With all these roster changes I excited to see how the season will play out. Hopefully, everyone stays healthy and mesh well.

    *I am excited

    Welcome back to 2002, Portland.

Portland will be better in 2K10, than in real life. Hedo was a bad pickup, no defense, just shooting. Portland, thats why Magic let him go for Vince. DUH!!!

  • rav Posted: Jul.3 at 7:05 pm
because vince is such a great defender????

  • James aka... Posted: Jul.3 at 7:37 pm
What I notice about this trade is how hedo’s stats are going to suffer, while at the same time portland will improve. With all the multi talented players on the blazers, you could end up with the impression that they overpaid for hedo. The only way to know for sure will be how many games they win.

  • LeMay Posted: Jul.3 at 8:18 pm
James…pretty sure this was not a trade. try again.

  • Teddy-the-Bear Posted: Jul.3 at 8:55 pm
Great pick-up by the Blazers. They now have real veteran leadership on their team and another clutch performer. Imagine if they just had Kevin Durant now…

  • Declan Posted: Jul.3 at 8:58 pm
    WHY? Why is this happening?

  • ripcity Posted: Jul.3 at 9:54 pm
well, breakin news on nba.com, but the whole thing fell thru. check it out if u want. said he changed his mind and decided to try to go 2 toronto.

  • Russ Bengtson Posted: Jul.3 at 9:58 pm
