Welcome to Today’s Ridiculous LeBron Controversy

Unlike any high schooler in the history of the world, a young James took puffs of the sticky icky: “LeBron James smoked marijuana during his junior year in high school. Three other members of the Akron St. Vincent St. Mary starting five smoked with him. Another drank alcohol. All this took place in a hotel room in Akron the players ‘had gotten access to,’ in the guarded words of ‘Shooting Stars,’ a book to be released in September. It amounts to James’ life story through his tumultuous high school years.”

    does this matter? The media is always saying how athletes are role-models, so why does disclosing some information about LBJ in high school which does NOTHING but the contray help their battle against ‘non-role model athletes’? And can this be confirmed? NO. Is this just a rumor? YES. Does it damage Lebrons’ role model status? YES. Does any good come out of it? NO….But in all seriousness, he problay was just another victim of “Pass the blunt” from Farmer Jones.

    To Eboy’s second comment: I am European, in fact, I’m dutch, so you know what’s legalized here. It’s hyporcrite that your country makes such a big deal out of smoking marijuana. Never done it myself, ut I believe that the media is probably getting all over this, and that American kids on messageboards will call LeBron a pothead for the next couple of years. So no, no negative comments about LeBron from me, because I think some European countries are far more liberal than your country will ever be. Don’t be arrogant, because the people who probably will make a big deal about are those conservative Fox News watching kind of idiots in your own country.

    What’s funny is I’m the exact opposite than most of you cats here: I smoke weed and I think it shouldn’t be legalized.
