Wilson Chandler’s High Expectations for the Knicks

Chandler expects his team to still be hooping after the regular season concludes next year: “Despite eight straight losing seasons, the Knicks forward is setting the bar high for his team. ‘A lot of people look at us as the same team, but I think we’re a playoff team. We just had some hard times,’ Chandler said. ‘I think we should make the playoffs next year.’”

It’s not like they’ve gotten worse this year though, so… but nah aint hap’ning. Not with a healthy Wizads squad, improved ‘Cats and all those other teams going round. Still all notably better.
Oh, and the Nets… but they aren’t making the playoffs this year.

haha @TADOne… Am I gonna be the one who has to say it??? Knicks are gonna suck, (again) David Lee is pretty good, but shouldnt be the star of the team. Nate Robinson is pretty good and entertaining, but this team needs much much more.. Try signing some players that people have heard of, a go-to guy.

Ok, lemme tell u wut ISN’T gonna happen…..

MAybe if they drafted a point guard. For some reason, I see Jordan Hill as a Bust. Same with thabeet.

If they can get Ramon Sessions it will be awesome how good this team looks so quickly.

  • http://slamonline Blaze

A starting point would be a good start, with Nate coming off bench. Jordan Hill has potential, but will probably be gone before he lives up to it. (Frye, Balkma- ahh, nevermind)

  • Teddy-the-Bear

I’m a Knicks fan and I hope this comes true… I have high expectations for Wilson Chandler, like improving his shot consistency, improving his defense, becoming a better rebounder, and making an All-Star team in the near-future.This guy is the future of the Knicks, along with LeBron James and (hopefully) Ramon Sessions.Toney Douglas too.

  • zabba

They’ve had a whole year to recover from Isiah. They have the right to be optimistic.

  • tee_blaze

I think Wilson Chandler is an idealistic person, we need a leader at the small forward position not a complainer!!!!

Knicks have been cursed since letting Ewing go. They should look at the teams that gave them success and try to get players like they had. Oakley=Boozer, A.Mason=K-Mart, Starks=R.Allen or Kevin Martin, Ward/Childs=umm, think any pass first point.

  • chintao

Whoa, Blaze. Slow down on the weed. It is impairing your judgment. The K-Mart/Mason comparison is the only one that is apt. Boozer = Oakley? Oakley’s momma should slap you for that one. Also, everybody knows Starks = J.R. Smith. Ward sucked, so I don’t want another one of them. Chris Paul has the attitude that most closely resembles that of Childs. Of course, Paul’s game is vastly superior. Also, you neglected to say who would replace Ewing. Not possible, I’d say.

  • chintao

Anyway, I said it last year, and I think it is still applicable: “This team will struggle to win 30 games.”

  • chintao

Said it last year, and it’s still true: “This team will struggle to win 30 games.”

  • chintao

Actually, Rondo might be the most “Childs”-like right now.
