A.I. May Go to Greece to Find Work

This flimsy report claims that Olympiakos may offer Iverson a two-year deal: “Lithuania-based Basketworld.lt is today reporting that Olympiacos will be extending a contract offer to Allen Iverson. Reportedly, Olympiacos officials are ready to offer free agent Iverson a two-year, $10 million deal, ‘exactly the same proposal that was presented to Nate Robinson’ earlier this year.”

Watch your tongue! You know just as well as I know: The last thing Iverson needs are scorers, right? He needs defensive minded players around him, who dont need to touch the ball all the time! Back to Denver: Do you really think that Iverson played well, even without having any success with an star-packed roster?!

I think that Denver’s entire offense was constructed around isolations for Iverson and Melo and lack movement. I think Kenyon was recovering from and injury and so was Nene. I think nobody on that team cared about defense, and they lacked the type of vocal leadership that Chauncey eventually provided.
Yes, I think Iverson could have played better, but I think he played just fine. His first year in Denver, they won like 46 games (the most in Karl’s career in Denver) and stole a game from San Antonio at home in the playoffs. The eventual NBA champion Spurs.
The next year, they won 50 games, again a record, and got swept by a Lakers team that went to the Finals.
Iverson could have done more, particularly on defense, but by no means was he horrible or a team cancer. I watched damn near every Nuggets game those two years and the problem was a lack of accountability and imagination by the coaching staff. It was the same thing that plagued the Nuggets when they got MURDERED by the Lakers in Game Six of this year’s Western Conference Finals.

Amid a rikson battle of arrows and ? marks that should tail off and end abruptly soon, just stop before you hurt yourself or blow your top, we get cool posters that despite full grammar and written English (it is fine, nobody is perfect either) can still put together some nice points and thank us for reading. You’re welcome and thank you (Akira up there). That’s how to comment on SLAM, just be civil despite where you come from and even if your English isn’t perfect, we welcome your opinion and words just fine; unlike those who shall remain unnamed and know this place as only SPAM Online, a kid’s show for cartoons after his grumpy “not in the mood” rude awakening nap times. Never even knowing the name of the show, simply repeating to no end, kids & cartoons. He might want to call the local provider to see if they have Nickelodeon or the Cartoon Network.

I did some looking around, but the only guys that even comes close to AI in terms of production and FG% at the SG spot were Reggie Miller and Joe Johnson but it was a BIG gap between them – AI was getting up around the 24-27 ppg spot for his 44/45% where as Miller only got close to that in his 3rd year 24.6 ppg on 49% FG but the pattern of consistancy was way below that around 42/43% each season.
    WELL DEVELOPED ARGUMENT!
