Amar’e Has Some in Phoenix Heated

Stoudemire’s hints (on Twitter) at leaving the team have irked local fans and media: “Are you paying attention, Amaré Stoudemire? This man you’ve come to admire, this military theorist whose moniker you’ve chosen to adopt, has some valuable insight on leadership. Surely somewhere in the Chinese general’s book, The Art of War, is a chapter that says conjecture about your possible departure a month removed from Suns training camp is not the right approach to unifying a team, let alone a fan base.”

prediction: “No Twitter” clauses in all new contracts NBA teams give out, starting this season.

  • Yesse

I agree with you, neaorin.I dont like twitter, but when it comes to Nba players, it gives great information.

PHX writers are a jumpy lot. So are they spooked he’s making it public he’s leaving? He’s always maintained that. Maybe he is the Suns’ enemy right under their nose? Fan bases are not in The Art of War. But if he gets Nash money to stick around, will he suddenly be a-okay? And have it justified that there’s never going to be a championship in his career there like they wrote up Nash?

Hate the Twitter, not the Twitter game?
Hate the Twittering, not the player?
Hate the Twitter, Amar’e only gets to speak out through editing and writing to say only what we choose him to say?
Twitter, serious business, like the rest of the Internet.

Namedropping Sun Tzu is so passé.

Just like Amare, Sun Tzu never had a plan for defense.

steve kerr is the worst GM he will probably trade amare for Jake Vohskul or somthin

How bad of a GM was he this offseason though? From where they ended last season, Kerr has now put them in probably the best case scenario. They were able to keep Nash and Hill. They drafted Earl Clark who seems like he will be a good fit for Phoenix and the system. Picked up Frye, I mean for a team who is not a contender and missed the playoffs last year, keeping 2 all-stars, Hill and Richardson, and keeping a coach who will maximize the ability of all these players, including Barbosa, are not the moves of a bad GM.

He and Boozer have some similarity in their m.o.’s.

Twitter accounts are what the user makes of them. I prefer twitter over a media filter. Also, how else would I have found out that TJ Ford takes a dump and washes his face before his summer workouts?

  • Teddy-the-Bear

    That made no sense, Anton.

Decent article about A’mare trying to be a good dude and getting kicked in the face by the media because he’s not eloquent.
