    Will Arroyo Go Back to the NBA?

    Carlos Arroyo is ready to return to the NBA. However, the Puerto Rican guard, who last played in the NBA with the Orlando Magic, won’t reveal the names of the teams that are allegedly having talks with his agent — not until the FIBA Americas Championship in San Juan concludes.

    “There are some opportunities that we’re considering. Negotiating a contract is a pretty slow process,” Arroyo said. “But my focus is totally on Puerto Rico’s national team. My mind and heart needs to be here.” According to several sources, Arroyo, represented by Leon Rose, is in talks to join either the Boston Celtics or the Milwaukee Bucks.

      Celtics and Cavs are the wh0res of the NBA. Anyone who is a feee agent, they are in talks with them.

      True, but the Celtics actually need a back-up point guard. I hate the team, but Arroyo may be a good piece for them.

      I THINK HE SHOULD GO TO BOSTON IT WOULD BE BETTER 4 CARLITO SO HE COULD WIN A SHIP THIS YEAR GO CELTS AND GO P.R…. PS: JJ BAREA IS WAY BETTER THAN CARLOS ARROYO

      I dont see why boston needs him. Rondo, House, Marbury(who will probably leave) they like putting tony at point, gabe pruitt..

      Arroyo would be a great pick up for the C’s. It would relieve House of ball handling duties and allow him to be a gunner at the 2. This allows lil wayne to be used in tandem with your pick of Billy Walker/Tony Allen/J.R Giddens to back up Pierce and Allen. Throw a healthy Sheed in there and the second unit will give opposing coaches fits.

      Boston could use a back-up point, Marburys gone and house (even though he had some big games in the playoffs) should be a 3rd string pg..

      JJ is tough no doubt, but whether he’s better than Carlos I can’t cosign that. There’s always something to be said about experience and talent.
      @Shem Gabe Pruitt?? Really?

      I’m a huge Celtics fan right now, as you guys know. We DO need a backup point guard. First of all, Eddie House isn’t a point guard. Guy can’t dribble, can’t play defense, can only shoot the three ball. Shem, Pruitt is being dealt in the Marquis Daniels thing. Tony Allen is NOT a point guard….IMHO, as a Celtics fan, I want Allen off the team. Very, very athletic, not a very, very great basketball player.

      Boston would be a good fit. Knicks need Sessions.

    • rainman10 Posted: Aug.29 at 5:56 pm
      ya Moose, T.Allen needs to go, Arroyo might not be a bad pickup. It wouldn’t be a bad thing to have Walker and Giddens gettin some garbage time with T. Allen gone.

      Erm…Celtics and the Bucks? I don’t understand what MIL is trying to do with their backcourt.

      Arroyo brings ball-handling, play-making abilities, decent shooting range, good passing and experience as his greatest assets. As his liabilities, attitude if he’s not played; sometimes, more shooting than passing desire, and streaky shooting. Signing him is cheap. He will bring more positive than negative to whatever team he decides to go. I hope he does good because IMHO he’s one player that has been under-rated for a couple of years because of the press coverage his behavior has had. If he goes to Boston he’ll be succesful if he decides to be, and understands his role. Go C’s!!!

      What about Earl Boykins?His contract is over in Italy.
