Bobcats’ Johnson Continues Negotiations

All signs point toward Johnson and George Postolos (formerly of the Rockets) striking a deal within two weeks: “Bob Johnson and Houston’s George Postolos continue negotiations on a deal that could shift control of the Charlotte Bobcats, multiple sources told the Observer Monday. Whether a deal is imminent is anyone’s guess. Johnson, who owns about 70 percent of the franchise, put the team up for sale months ago. Postolos, formerly president of the Houston Rockets, has assembled a group of investors. It’s unclear whether other bidders are still pursuing a purchase.”

Boring! Going with the unretired theme these days(ie Favre), I suggest MJ coming back to play for the Bobcats, since he part owns it. After watching the MJ video yesterday, he still got it. The fade-away is still nice!

I want MJ to buy the Bobcats. Money always wanted to buy an NBA team… :D

MJ cant because he was a selfish wh0re that cheated and lost 50% in his divorce. If he didnt cheat, he would be the owner…too bad/boo-hoo. I really want to get rid of Bob and his horse ridding tournment over Bobcat preferences. As long as they dont become the Seattle Bobcats, i will be happy.

@BETCATS: dude, try being MJ and having women throw themselves at you hourly, daily, monthly and yearly — and not just the regular groupies or gold-diggers, but the ELITE ones. Then tell me if you can avoid all that temptation. I’m not condoning extra-marital affairs, I’m just saying that Money, for all his on-court dominance, is still human.

im not saying hes not human, im simply saying, he fu(ked up his chances at being owner via his mortal-ness

I thought MJ was buying the Bobcats

MJ can’t afford to purchase an NBA team. Let’s not forget, he was taken to the cleaners by his ex-wife. Still, MJ will probably up his stake in the team, as he has feigned interes in buying the team, with a group of investors. Obviously he didn’t have the shrewdness to pull together enough money from investors.

Plus, the BOBCATS won’t be in Charlotte too long, they will probably end up in Seattle as the Supersonics or Las Vegas as they are negotiating with the NBA, NFL, and MLB. In this economy, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Vegas get the Bucks or Bobcats.

Sure, MJ cheated on his wife, but nothing last forever.

BETcats: On behalf of the city of Seattle, we understand the pain of losing a team, we wouldn’t want that to happen to you guys…twice.

A person (guess who…) whose illegal actions led to death (specifically, of his father) is on the hook for felony murder. Regardless of whether such a person has been prosecuted, he should not be permitted to own an NBA team — not even the Bobcats.

guys, Las Vegas is already taken, Kings are moving there within two years

The Cats have nine lives, or maybe 8 now after Emeka (link says in a salary saving move for possible sale that may not happen anyway-inset update link more info). Losing G.Wallace would be like 2 or 3. Losing MJ? A push, or maybe better, like the Wizards.
