Brendan Haywood Calls Marbury ‘Gay’

Not to spread nasty rumors, but as some people say, it takes one to know one: “At first it was cool, but after a while it just became disturbing. He’s on YouTube crying with no shirt on for no reason, sweating while his boy’s rubbing his shoulders. What’s that about? That’s like gay porn. I don’t understand it. He’s dancing to a song called ‘Barbie Doll,’ doing like stripper moves. I have no idea what’s going on with the guy, it’s almost like he’s trying to end his own career. There’s not a GM out there that would touch Marbury right now… Have you seen the ‘Barbie Doll’ clip? Click on YouTube and go to Barbie Doll. There’s no way any other professional athletes would wanna get dressed around this guy, because you gotta think something is a little, he’s swinging from both sides of the fence.”

And Joe is still not funny.

    Sorry Teddy.
I meant to give a thought provoking and illuminating response concerning gay rights, religion, and varying levels of socio-political experimentation with our current norms.
On a basketball website. With a peanut gallery.
    Time and a place….
And if I missed the mark with my joke, then I really do apologize. So…there’s that.

Darksaber, I agree with you on some point, but I don’t really think Steph is a wasted talent. He always was more of a playmaker than a distributor (more AI than Stockton, if you will), and his style (and lack of marketability) didn’t really lend itself to winning basketball. However, if you look at his stats, they line up quite nicely with Tim Hardaway, Kevin Johnson, Mark Price, and all the other elite PGs of the 90′s not names John Stockton.

our expectations of players is sometimes WAY too much. Most of the time, phenomenal physical ability is only part of the making of a good basketball player.

What I find interesting is that “gay” in some social circles doesn’t convey what it does in others. My group of friends are majority middle upper-class black yuppies, and saying something is “gay” means as much as saying something is taco. Calling a person gay, means they are truly a homosexual. In other social groups it means something is bad or a person is doing something you don’t agree with. Its strange.

I read somewhere that Marbury was actually dancing to Lil Wayne and Beyonce.
