Carlos Arroyo to the Bulls?

The media in Puerto Rico says it’s close to becoming reality, something that the media in Chicago dismisses completely: “The Bulls are not angling to sign former NBA point guard Carlos Arroyo. A rumor that Arroyo was about to sign a one-year deal with the Bulls appeared in Puerto Rico’s El Nuevo Dia this weekend. But such a plan has never even been discussed. Adding Arroyo wouldn’t make much sense, anyway, because the Bulls already have Kirk Hinrich, Jannero Pargo and Lindsey Hunter to fill in for Derrick Rose at point guard.”

It’s been so long since I’ve seen him play in the NBA, I have trouble even remembering what his game is like.

Actually, the rumor of him signing with the Bulls was yesterday’s news. Today this came out: http://blogs.dailyherald.com/node/2507 like the article says: it wouldn’t make any sense, because backing up Rose you already have Hinrich, Pargo and Hunter….

He should join the Celtics, T-Wolves or the Knicks..

Yes, Knicks would be a great fit!
Damn, I want SO much to see Knicks as a playoff team…!

  • Orlando Woolridge

Ummm, Hunter is about 57 years old and can’t do much for them out on the court. I think it would be dope if Arroyo joined the Bulls. I like his game.

Ken, you aren’t missing much. He never figured it out after being tutored by Stockton. Detroit and Orlando never saw him turn into a player who could be productive beyond 10 min every 3 games, either.

Yeah, I think he peaked in the 04 Olympics.

Arroyo would never play if he joined the Bulls. Rose, Hinrich, Pargo and Hunter will all get burn before he does. Say what you will about Hunter’s age, the Bulls still value him for his experience and defense. This will not happen.

Orlando: could be, but that still doesn’t mean anything. I named 3 names, I’m not that dumb to think Hunter will be THE back-up to Rose, but Hinrich and Pargo will. Signing Arroyo doesn’t make any sense at all for Chicago.
