Celtics to Get their Big Baby Back

Looks like Glen Davis’s angst-ridden summer is about end happily: “Glen Davis could sign his new contract with the Celtics as early as tomorrow or Monday, according to a source close to negotiations between the restricted free agent and his team. Davis, who has agreed to a two-year contract worth approximately $6.3 million, including a starting point of approximately $3 million next season, was in Boston today, and may take a physical tomorrow before finalizing the deal. The Celtics, who backed off their request for a third year at a team option, are also aiming to wrap up business with free agent swingman Marquis Daniels by the end of the week, according to a league source.”

    I guess he realized that his production was largely based on the fact that he had NOBODY defending him with all the attention Rondo, Allen, and Pierce get

    If Boston can wrap up both Davis and Daniels, that would be a heck of a week for them. They still need a good backup point, though.

    If Marquis Daniels is healthy, he is gonna be HUGE for their depth. Eddie House won’t have to masquerade as a backup pg (as Daniels can handle the rock), and Tony Allen is obsolete.

    We have the best team in the league now so all we have to do is stay healthy and we’re locked on Banner 18 for 2010!

    Umm how much is Gortat earning again? Or Bass? Or Milsap? Any of them proven Playoff contributors and game changers/winners? Didn’t think so. 3 Mil is freaking good value for money in his case.

    This means for the Nets that if they can find some room on their roster (15 players already), the only free agent that they’re now interested in is mr. Snake himself – Mikki Moore. Although I must admit I always liked how Moore played for them two years ago. He might not be the most talented player in the world, but he has a great attitude, and is a hard worker.
