Courtney Lee’s Revenge

Lee wants the Orlando Magic to rue the day they shipped him out of town: “I just hope they’ll be happy for me when I grow into the player that they wish they had. I’d like them to one day say ‘I wish we would have kept him…I’d like to be Dwight Howard’s teammate again — in the All-Star game,’ Lee said. ‘They [Magic] have a history of trading good players [Ben Wallace, Tracy McGrady, Corey Maggette, Mike Miller] who did well afterward. I hope that’s me. My goal will be to go out and dominate every game, but especially those games [when I play the Magic]. I’ll be jacked up for sure.”’

  • http://www.digitalthread.com AlbertBarr

Maybe if you had made that lay-up Courtney…then you wouldnt be having to “get Revenge.”

  • http://www.another48minutes.blogspot.com Gerard Himself

heartlandG sure isn’t wasting too much letters on this. And suuuuure AlbertBarr, young players get traded because the missed a lay-up. Yup. Happened so many times….

  • ENDS

First off We already rue the day June 25th, when you got traded. Everyone in the double O wish you were still here C. Lee.

Second The last time TMac was good was when he was here SLAM so i believe we got rid of him right on time

  • COLT6

Don’t get me wrong, C. Lee has some serious game. It will be hard for him to get the minutes he deserves in guard-laden New Jersey but he’s got some pedigree. Hell yeah! There’s no better motivation than the promise of revenge.

I guess his backcourt teammate is really the one guy to learn it from. Or maybe Don Nelson too.

  • tavoris

I guess Lee hasn’t realized that the only way to get VC was to give him up. Turk wasn’t gonna stay anyway, and VC>Lee.

Your parents should rue the day they gave you a girl’s name.

  • http://slamonline.com Brad Long

I just wanna see him try to punch one on Dwight like he did LBJ…twice.

  • $tev3

I’d like to be Dwight Howard’s teammate again — in the All-Star game
He Courtney the all star game is for big named players not semi- decent players

  • capostat

    lol @ Anton

  • JoeMaMa

Cosign Brad for a thousand years.

  • http://slamonline.com/ niQ

i don’t think he should be citing t-mac. i mean, t-mac’s best years were IN orlando… and as for C.Lee. Average 20+ points then i’ll start listening.

    Trevor Ariza

    Give em hell young’n.

  • la huey

yeah, it’s a business but it’s still endearing to see players can make it to the pros and romanticize the league like that.

  • iLL wiLL

Ouch, Anton laying the smack down.

  • Clipp Show 714

He won’t have to wait too long. Nets host Magic in their 2nd game of the season. NICE.

This reminds me of that scene in one of The Godfather movies where Micheal goes up to Fredo at the party and is like “You broke my heart Fredo, you broke my heart.”. He then goes on to send Fredo ‘fishing’. I am not sure how to equate the second part of that allusion to this situation, just know that sh!t is going down.

  • Donovan Phelan

i think the magic will miss hedo more the c. lee. C. Lee need to take off the panties and let his game to the talkin.

  • Teddy-the-Bear

Now THAT’S the response I want to hear! Not Ron Artest’s “I would love to be a Laker and play with Kobe and win a ring because Yao isn’t playing, but I still want revenge on Houston”.
@ niQ: T-Mac was great in Houston too dude. 13 points in 35 seconds? 22 game winning streak?

  • Jacqueline Mitchell

Courtney sweetie . Please be careful, Sometimes getting revenge is not what it is cracked up to be.Good luck anyway in New Jersey.

  • ENDS

The last thing TMAc did I knew someone would bring up those 13 Seconds. In Orlando he was the Second Best Player in the League.

AlbertBarr said it best, you coulda changed the playoffs, but now you’re stuck lookin like a small Rip Hamilton with that mask…

LOL @ Anton! Next step for Courtney is to put his money where his mouth is.

SO Courtney’s new career high will be what…?
    28 points or something?

  • La Maravilla

Stop been so sensitive dude and men up u getting paid right? So stop crying like a b?tch

  • Yesse

Magic also made a huge mistake of trading Ariza.Ariza whooped them and won the championship. They gotta think better.Courtney really shouldnt take a revenge as his goal.Improving is the right one.

  • ConeyIslander

Orlando and NY only trade you if your about to be an allstar! lol

  • JoeMaMa

    The Courtney of Monte Cristo.

  • Shem

maybe if you made the lay up… ohh and pietrus would have probably started over lee anyways

  • kdsujdfgkh

dont be a cry baby. the nba is a business. i would be ecstatic to play anywhere in this league

  • Pancho

    @ yesse,
considering that for his revenge to be fulfilled he would have to beat the magic, then his idea of getting revenge requires A LOT of improving from his side, so I think he has the improving as a goal too. Like D.Harris against dallas, now C.Lee is going to do it against the Magic and blossom.

And yes, the Magic will eventually regret they let him go too, when they realize he can D much better than VC and can stay healthy for a whole season.

  • http://slamonline.com Jacob J

I wonder is courtney lee realizes that t-mac was better with the magic than he was when he was traded to the rockets.

  • http://slamonline.com Jacob J

And also I wouldnt mind playing for anybody in the league so hes got to realize that hes a lot luckier than most people are. Most people dont even have jobs anymore.

  • Wes-O

i like thats im a jersey fan and we need some young guys to come in and work hard we have been lacking that and i think we have a strong future

  • Justin

I can’t criticize Lee for thinking that he has the ability to be all that, it takes a lot of self confidence to succeed at professional basketball (or so I’ve heard) and he should strive for his best. But it doesn’t make his comments about the trade sound any less ridiculous. He exceeded low expectations last year and had some success as the fifth option getting plenty of open shots. It’s a whole another world having defenses focus in on you and trying to create your own shot against that defense. He is a role player. He has zero shot to ever be a premier top-notch guard. He’s an undersized two–height wise no but he lacks length and big frame–who is not great at anything on the court. No, he will not be getting any revenge.

  • gay allah

As we ALL saw. OMag were right there in the finals for TWO games they couda ( shouda )won. And C.lee was the one to miss the aforementioned lay up . So piss off to NJN were you won`t even be the best guard, let alone all star material. hey baby, make me eat my words

  • VA

yo man stop makin fun of religions @gay *****. u dont even know much about this religion. i dont go around makin fun of ur religion. I respect all religions (judaism, christianity, etc.) its ppl like u that start wars. come on dude ima say it nicely and say that aint right.

  • mixter

Ok you idiot. It is quite obvious you were probably born in late 70s or early 80s. First of all, the name Courtney is a boys name. It has been totally coopted by parents of girls. This can be easily verified but somehow I doubt you’ll make any attempt to do so.
