Deron Williams Takes on Floyd Landis

DWill actually beat Landis in a 2.2-mile race, but with one rather large caveat: “The first leg’s simple ground rules: Williams gets a one-minute head start on a 2.2-mile course. [...] By the end, with the crowd ringing cowbells and cheering loudly, Landis was right on Williams’ back wheel. He made up the one minute, but Williams crossed the finish line first. Which was great … until Williams had to stop. When he did, he fell over again. ‘My legs are Jell-O,’ he said. ‘I was just trying to win,’ he added. Meanwhile, Williams, now beaming with confidence, sent a tweet to Shaquille O’Neal, challenging him to a race. ‘It’s all fun,’ he said. ‘… I feel like I just rode 100 miles.’”

It’s great to hear that these guys are getting some good conditioning in the off season; simply taking fun activities such as bike riding or swimming can do a lot for the physical and mental strength for this next season.

    This is relevant because….

Williams is one American athlete we can be sure is not on the juice. Maybe he can run the 100m versus Carl Lewis next!

I assume that Lance won’t be tested before his race against Shaq.

oops this time Floyd forgot to CHEAT/DOPE himself like he did on the Tour de France …. so he lost.

  • Josh D

Shaq will just crush him with his foot

CP3 ran across the finish line and assisted Deron with some vitamin water.

And Deron did a backflip after winning the race.

Maybe this will help Deron lose that gut.

If Deron Williams never plays in an All-Star game in his NBA career I am officially going to stop watching basketball… on Tuesdays.

  • NYCBalla

He doesn’t have much of a gut any more….and when he had one he could still get to the rim with the best of them. Best PG in the leauge.

I think that Deron Williams should be play in the All-Star game. He is one of the best point guards in the game today. It is that he is keeping himself active during the off season which I think is great. Loved the commercial with Kyle Kover. I agree if they don’t put him in the All-Star game I too will stop watching basketball.
