Gasol Wants to Play in Euro Championships

According to Pau, a finger injury isn’t enough to keep him out of Team Spain’s lineup once the tourney begins next month: “I am not overly worried as it isn’t a very serious injury and in three weeks I expect to be back doing practically everything,’ Gasol said. ‘I have explained the situation to the Lakers, and they have the results. They aren’t pleased I am injured, but I don’t think they’ll put obstacles in my way. I am making sure the lines of communication with them are open and clear and hope I won’t have to travel over there. My wish is to be with the team and to enjoy Eurobasket.”‘

duh… I wonder of kobe got his surgerys done this summer. probably did it on the low.

I thought about going to poland for this but I’m gonna go to turkey for the WC next year have a nice lil vacation there.

I wonder if rubio is gonna play if he does I think a lot of guys are gonna lose their GM jobs because well he’s an amazing point guard

I’m in europe and think rubio is so overrated. he is a combination of so many great players, though only the negative attributes. Too small(stockton), too slow(magic), not a pure shooter(kidd) he also isnt athletic enough. nba pgs will eat him for breakfast.

    Wrong news report, Carter.

Also, why is it suddenly that Magic Johnson was slow and a bad defender? Magic Johnson, for 6’9, was incredibly fast, and he was an above average defender.
People just like to break people down.

It’s not the finger that the Lakers worried about. Remember a broken foot?

doesn’t pau get injured whenever he plays euroball?

What has to happen for an NBA team to pull a player from international ball? It’s only a matter of time before a franchise player gets hurt during the offseason. If Kobe gets injured and misses a season due to international competition, do teams stop other players from playing?

Why is everybody so worried about his finger. The NBA season didn’t start yet, I’m sure his finger will be fine.
