    Gregg Popovich Can’t Wait for the Season to Start


    This should cause the other 29 NBA coaches to lose some sleep: “All along, Popovich wished his offseason were shorter, that it hadn’t begun in April after a first-round playoff loss against Dallas. Now, he’s wishing it were over completely. After the most eventful summer of his San Antonio tenure, Popovich is ready to get back to work. ‘You can only relax so much,’ Popovich said during an informal fat-chewing session with reporters Tuesday at the Spurs’ Northwest-side headquarters. ‘You can only chase players so much. My stomach is starting to churn. I’m getting anxious.’ In a sense, Popovich is like a kid at Christmas brunch. His new toys have been unwrapped. He is eager to start playing with them.”

      I stay on that 2k9 too, can’t wait for 2k10! At least football season it about to start, won’t have to settle for just baseball (yawn). But until the NBA starts, I won’t be satisfied.

      Oh jesus H. Now this is new. Pop all giddy and letting us know… In the offseason no less. Goodness, Spurs are gonna be good this season, Mr. Grumpy’s all excited.

      oh, and I’m excited to see the Spurs next season. Although I don’t think they will be doing anything more than fighting Denver, Dallas, and Portland for the right to lose to LA in the WCF

      I wanted to hire K9 to see what it’s all about…I’ve heard it’s better, slower play of the ball which is good, less arcade-y and all that… …Lets go Suns.
