Leon Powe Becomes a Cav

Leon, though, isn’t exactly doing backflips over the deal. He’s sad to leave the Celtics: “I think that his preference would have been to stay with Boston,’ Powe’s agent Aaron Goodwin said by telephone yesterday. ‘That didn’t work out. He’s got a great opportunity with a great organization that happens to be one of the best teams in the league. Good things happen to good people.”’

He`s slated to return in mid to late February…we play the Celts on Feb.24. Oh the drama.

I sadly agree with the Celtics not resigning him. That’s a serious injury.

CDef28, he makes LESS than Shelden Williams, who’s prolly not even going to get dressed on most nights being behing KG, Perk, Sheed, Moore and Scalabrine. Why wouldn’t you sign Powe for the vet min as your 14th guy until he gets healthy? Dude balled out of control in an NBA Finals for you, he wasn’t a fringe guy.

they’re going to rely on shelden while kg is on the bench? LOL

This makes me hate the Celtic even more. Getting rid of the one big that won’t pull a stupid face every time he gets an putback

Hopefully he can recover and take the Powe show to Cleveland.

He’ll make the Celtics pay in the playoffs!!

I wish Powe well but business is business. I hope Sheldon gets the job done and M. Daniels will be a great fit.

Please do not start with comments about snarls and such from the Celtics b/c MOST players on EVERY team do the same thing. The Cavs will lead the league again this year with both pregame and in game antics.

Giotta go, I’m in Alabama chillaxing with some Fam! Roll Tide!!!!

Now the Cavs have a chance.

Funny how things work out. The HS class of 2003 had an undisputed, absolutely consensus, you-musta-lost-your-goddamn-mind-if-you-believe-differently number one player at the top, LBJ. Who was number two on that list was up for debate. Some said Loul Deng, others said Charlie Villanueva. Still, others said Leon Powe. Now six years later, Powe and Lebron on the same team. What would’ve once been a dream-pairing is now another ho-hum offseason move. It’s hard not to like Powe though, he’s a good dude. I wish him all the best in CLE.

Everybody is forgetting about Sheed. Is Powe was to re-sign he wouldve barely gotten any minutes.

    I’m liking this trade.. This is Powe’s year…20 20 any1? :P
