Marquis Daniels Still Waiting on Boston

The Pacers and Celtics are having headaches trying to move a role player. What’s this offseason come to? “While the Pacers and Celtics still hope to find a third team to make a sign-and-trade deal for Marquis Daniels work, a source said it appears Daniels will likely end up signing with the Celtics for the biannual exception.”

    That would be a really solid pick-up for the Celtics. Man, they’re tooling up for the Finals this year.

    That any team is ‘working’ on a deal for Marquis Daniels is certainly a sign that either the economy is dictating the free agent market now or the Apocalypse is upon us.

    Marquis is servicable (certainly you need someone who has the same kind of “hair issues” as Mikki Moore, if your going to make any kind of finals run this year…) enough, I would be more concerned if there was a bidding war for Mark Madsens skill set now that he’s back amongst the bigger ‘bear’ markets.
