Pops Mensah-Bonsu Lands in Houston

The high-flyer will now be lifting off for the Rockets: “The Rockets verbally agreed to a contract with free-agent power forward Pops Mensah-Bonsu last week, and the contract is expected to be signed later this week. Mensah-Bonsu (6-10, 240) entered the NBA in the 2006-07 season with the Dallas Mavericks, but he only played in 12 games. He spent the 2007-08 season playing in Europe, but he underwent shoulder surgery in December. Earlier this year, Mensah-Bonsu played with the Austin Toros, the San Antonio Spurs’ D-League affiliate.”

Shame TNT arent playing Houston games this season so i cant really watch him play that much. he played well with the mins he got for the raptors.

Pops is the man, he played well for the Raptors in some games where nothing else was going right…this guy could easily avg. 10 and 10 if someone would leave him on the floor for more than 4 minutes at a time.

  • Teddy-the-Bear

Raptors can give Amir Johnson time to develop, Rockets get a guy to pick up the glass alongside Carl Landry, both sides are happy.

Yeah GW indeed! Go colonials! I remember one time on the pickup courts, pops dropped some wicked gas. It cleared out the whole damn court for like five minutes. He was laughing the entire time. What could you say to him? It was pops, man!
