The Bobcats are Getting New Threads

No word if local politicians have been consulted or not, but the Bobcats are bringing pinstripes back: “It’s not 1988 anymore, and it’s no longer the Hornets, but pinstripes are back for the local NBA team. Entering season No. 6, the Charlotte Bobcats are changing their uniforms. Based on a jersey worn by rookie Gerald Henderson, the new style will include orange pinstripes on the white home uniforms. The design became public about a month before the team intended, when a trading-card company released a video of rookie photo-shoots.”

    I do NOT like these new jerseys i.e. okc, minnesota, sacremento, orlando, and now charlotte. They look like WNBA jerseys and the neckline is all screwey.

    I still favor the retro jerseys.. red,white&blue bullets, old t-wolves (non scary wolf) and the red sixers jerseys are some of my favs. Still have a few but unfortunately the back of my wolves jersey reads- Laettner.

    On a side note, the Raptors should give up the black jerseys… That’s biting Miami, and I’ve never liked the Miami jerseys that much in the first place.

    Much better and long overdue, but seriously…get rid of the orange altogether. Not even a trace of it would be best.

    At least the pinstripes are actually straight, not what the Magic were doing. Diagonals up in the neckline taper? And New Era pin styles in Bobcats instead of Yankees just being whored out into everything from neon green – to yes – Bobcats colors can stop some of that finally.

    i am just waiting for the day Mitchell and Ness makes a Okafor jersey in honor of his rookie-of-the-year winning season. I will consider spending $250 on that (as it, i will say ‘oh how nice’ and turn the page in my eastbay catolog).

    All that time stealing a team, they could have thought of a better jersey uniform than stealing the Bobcats + Knicks, then adding in block letter generico font in full OKLAHOMA CITY instead of OKC. One day maybe the away jerseys for the ‘Cats actually says just Cats, when Bob Johnson sells the team?

    Uniforms are getting uglier and uglier. Isn’t it funny how most teams switch ‘em up every few years like that’s going to help them win a ‘chip, but the three most storied franchises, the Celtics, Lakers and (to a lesser extent) Bulls, their uniforms hardly ever change?
