Warriors Offer Watson 3-Year Deal

Not a bad option for a player who hopes to battle Acie Law for the third-string PG spot: “[Watson] could play for the one-year qualifying offer, which is just over $1 million and become an unrestricted free agent at the end of next season. Or, he could take the security of the three-year, $4.5 million offer he has on the table from the Warriors, which is undoubtedly less money than Watson had in mind.”

    cj watson sucks. nbatv had a warriors kings game from last season, and he was dribbling around doing nothing, throwing up bad shots

    I watched him a lot last year. When he comes in the game he doesn’t have neither a positive or negative effect – he just exists out there – which is basically a positive effect for the warriors.

    Watson played heavy minutes during a stretch that saw Ellis, Jackson, and Maggette injured. He also played injured so the Warriors could make the 8 player minimum roster. To say that he has no effect on a game when he averaged 9.5ppg, 1.2stls, shot 40% 3pts, and 87% from the line, off the bench is retarded. Watson is a good defensive player, that’s why the Warriors want him back. Watson is better than Shannon Brown.

    Watson wasn’t playing great in the beginning of the season. During the second half of the season though, he was straight ballin. Don’t underestimate this guy cause he’s still improving. I’d like for the warriors to keep him. If not, he’d make a great backup pg for any team with a serious shot at contending

    Still a better reserve than Speedy Claxton without the Speedy. He did well to hold it down through injuries as said above. Playing with the entire elbow brace (not fashion sleeve) for many games too. Keeps the same poker face on the whole game though.
