An Update on Michael Beasley

According to Michael’s people, B-Easy’s rehab stint is going well: “Heat forward Michael Beasley, still at a Houston rehab center, spoke to personal advisor Bruce Shingler by phone last week and ‘he’s doing well,’ Shingler said. ‘He sounded really upbeat. He accepted responsibility and expects to be ready for training camp. He told me he will do whatever is needed to help the team win.”’

    Am I the only one that gets a bit upset when someone is in rehab or a hospital and the quote that comes out always seems to be “helping the team win”? Shouldn’t the person be wanting to do what is best for helping themselves? Maybe I am just reading too much into it.

    Waters hit it on the head. As much as I would want (really, really want) beasley to succeed on the court, I’d rather he focus on the ish that keeps buggin him off of it. Get well and come back strong, michael.

    He’s too young to be going to rehab thos quick anyway. Hopefully he gets it together so he can remain and living life on this here stomping ground we called planet Earth. We don’t need anymore suicidal celebs.

    He’s in for rehab for smoking pot? Isn’t that going overboard? It’s just frickin’ pot, everyone smokes pot. My dad smokes pot and he’s a university professor. Heck, his entire faculty smokes up. Over-reacting little beetches. It’s not like Beasley’s got a heroin addiction.

    I don’t think though that if you interviewed a gas station attendant in rehab his or her main concern would be “doing what is best for the station.” I don’t get where the difference comes into play. Money, I guess.

    Wasnt rehab the only solution he (and the team) had left after that photo was seen by the public, to avoid an imagebreak? Its for the media….
