Bobby Brown, Darius Songaila to Hornets

Good luck remembering this trade tomorrow: “The New Orleans Hornets have traded Antonio Daniels and a future second-round draft pick to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Bobby Brown and Darius Songaila, a league source told Yahoo! Sports on Wednesday afternoon.”

Didn’t the Wolves JUST sign Ramon Sessions? Unless they plan on playing Flynn and Sessions together..

I think David Kahn wants half of his team to be PGs and the other half to be a swingmen or undersized PF/C. FAIL.

Man, AD really moves around. At least he picked up a ring one year.

they are planning on starting Flynn at point but using him as a shooting guard (he will only be guarding point guards, not play making) while sessions will start at SG, guard SGs and run the show. Antonio Daniels is better than both of these players the Hornets combined. Solid reserve. Kahn wins this round.

    here’s the obligatory:
    “this changes everything!”

Kahn is secretly trying to make his team into Nellie’s Golden State Warriors.

Ah, the Darius Songila era begins in New Orleans…

    Minnesota PGWolves.

They managed to clear 1.3 mill in cap space. Thats not such a bad thing. Darius Songalia, hmm a PF/SF tweener? I don’t know what the wolves are trying to do, but this is okay for the hornets.

The LWolves clearly want to be known as the PGWolves. :P

Antonio Daniels is one of those ‘guys’ who is on every championship team. He may not affect the boxscore, or even the game that much. But you ‘need’ him.
So, naturally, one must assume that the Timberwolves are the 2010 NBA Champions.

chris paul is readying his trade demands. not just because of this trade, just because new orleans isn’t serious about winning.

Don’t be cruel everybody. If the Hornets don’t feel like Daniels is the answer for them – it’s their prerogative. Every little step they take is designed to get them to the next level. Bobby Brown has to be the answer

Who the heck is Bobby Brown?

  • JDH21 Posted: Sep.10 at 2:09 pm
I guess with this trade the Hornets are pretty confident in Darren Collison to play behind CP3. Also i’m sure Daniel’s salary had something to do with the move.

  • JDH21 Posted: Sep.10 at 2:10 pm
I guess the Hornets believe Collison can handle the back up PG role. I’m sure Daniel’s contract also was a major factor as well.

  • tavoris Posted: Sep.10 at 2:27 pm
this trade was all about freeing minutes for Collison and Marcus Thornton. Having a scrappy-albeit limited-PF (Songalia) who can make shots is a plus.

k-nasty.. he’ll be having an episode on vh-1s behind the music in a few weeks..

Throw in Whitney Houston from “The Bodyguard” years and the Hornets have a heck of a deal.

  • Dfrance Posted: Sep.10 at 5:02 pm
From what I understand Sessions was only signed to an offer sheet, the Bucks still have until tomorrow to match. If they do, they have AD, if they don’t they can cut him.
