Bobcats Close to Inking Flip Murray

Welcome to Charlotte, Flip: “The Charlotte Bobcats are finalizing a deal to sign guard Flip Murray, an NBA source confirmed Thursday night. Murray is a logical fit on coach Larry Brown’s roster, since Brown prefers that his fifth guard be a point who can also play spot minutes at shooting guard. That likely made Murrary preferable to shooting guard Rashad McCants, who hoped to be a Bobcat but instead signed an unguaranteed one-year deal with the Houston Rockets.”

    The missing piece!

2nd bout as interesting as a kangaroo with a head cold

I actually see this as an excellent signing. They need a scorer off the bench, and I am not saying that Murry fixes their need for a scorer at all, but for what’s left in free agency, I think he was about the best thing for them.

I still think ATL should match the offer.

@Clark: in addition, this pretty much made Felton expendable.

we needed a scorer, but why a combo guard? Oh wait, it is because LB is great at making disfunctional messes and then leaving them for greener pastures. Why do i have a gut feeling that in 2 years, LB wont be our coach….

why get a combo guard after resigning ray and having augustine about to break out unless they are going to be playing really small ball bad move

  • Adam

    isn’t Jordan still the GM?

    that might explain this signing.

because augistine is 5’11 and flip is 6’4, because although augistine can score, who is he going to defend , he shoots the ball well, can create his own shot, he rebounds well for a guard and he’s tough as nail’s baby.lol North Philly’s finest.lol
