D’Antoni: Gallinari is The Best Shooter I’ve Ever Seen

Mike D’Antoni used the words “overachieve” and “question marks” several times in today’s 40-minute meeting with the media. But the more he talked, the more he sounded like he believed the Knicks have a shot to make the playoffs. D’Antoni’s contention is based mostly on the belief Danilo Gallinari, coming off back surgery, will be around a whole season. “He’s the best shooter I’ve ever seen,” D’Antoni gushed today.

    That is funny. I guess D’Antoni never seen a guy called something Jordan. MJ has the best shooting form EVER in the history of B-Ball. Anyone like to disagree?

    @ Allenp: No, it angers Knick fans because D’Antoni is shooting the bull trying to defend his decision not to draft Eric Gordon instead. And its working on a lot of Knick fans.
    But yeah, why wouldn’t Steve Nash be the best shooter D’Antoni has ever seen though? Aside from Ray Allen (who he’s never coached), I think Steve Nash is the best shooter right now in the league.

    Wesley Person had a great shooting form. Obviously Ray Allen has one of the best looking shots ever. Fundamentally though, Person might very well take the cake.

    John Starks had a great shot too. And of course, Jordan’s fundamentals were chillingly good.

    The knicks organisation is so corrupt. They somehow think that players will want to come to a bad team. Do they seriously think they have a shot at lebron when david lee, nate rob, chris duhon all leave. Why would bron leave for the exact same amout of money, a better team and his hometown for the knicks? Lock up david lee, sign and trade nate rob release curry and jeffries and sign some half decent players. The knicks have been procrastinating about getting better way too long. They started saving cap for a lebron who isnt coming 2 yrs ago.

    Ok, the kid should be healthy and ready to go. I am willing to give him his chance. Geez, what choice do we have anyway? This IS the Knicks afterall.

    So why does the media not give any flac to the Knicks but love to point out that the Pacers have a lot of white guys? At least 2 of the white guys are proven. The knicks are actually trusting 2 white guys that have proven nothing in Darko and Gal. To me looks like NY media people still hating on Larry Legend.
