Desmond Mason is a King

The Artist Formerly Known as Desmond Mason must prove his worth in Sac-Town: ” Is he the Desmond Mason of old or the old Desmond Mason? That’s the question the Kings signed on to have answered Thursday, when they added the 31-year-old … Mason, the former Oklahoma City Thunder swingman who is entering his 10th season, was grounded by a right knee hyperextension Jan. 28 and underwent arthroscopic surgery days later. Now he must prove to the Kings that his career can be airborne again, as none of the $1.18 million in his one-year deal is guaranteed.”

Well good luck to him. He should be able to get PT in Sacramento too, not like there’s a lot of high level 3′s over there right now…

I’m looking forward to seeing him throw down.

For anyone who shitted on VC for becoming a jump shooter, it dosnt really seem all the bad, when you consider the other option is becoming Desmond Mason.

For everyone who shi++ed on VC for developing an outside game and then becoming reliant on said outside game, it dosnt really seem that horrible when you consider his other option was becoming Desmond Mason.

    Sacramento Paupers!

His experience will make him a good pick-up…. I think Sac will still have the worst record in the league this year.. They should already be scouting for potential #1 draft pick. Ive been a NBA fan for about 18 years now, (dream team won me over) and it seems that in that time Ive watched good teams become bad teams, and vice-versa, but the Kings and Bucks have spent alot of time being bad teams.. (clipps too, duh!)

Scary thing is, Desmond’s career-high 3 PT’ers made is actually not 0. It’s 3. Hard to believe he wasn’t benched after taking the first one.

@ BossTerry, I suppose the whole Kings era of 2000-2004 didnt really qualify them as a good team?

d-mase has to be one of the least fundamentally-sound wing in the nba. worst dribblers:
    pg damon jones
    sg desmond mason
    sf joey graham
    pf reggie evans
    c dj mbenda

Thank you Z for not saying Adonal on your list at the Center spot. Old boy used to get away with traveling down the lane, because his floater he probably didn’t intend went in. Adonal FTW.

@NBAkid… Kings were good for a couple years…

  • From out of Nowhere

I remember playing NBA 2K1 on the Dreamcast and being surprised that he was a starter for the Sonics. Hope he makes the Kings roster.

Donte Green will steal that starting spot and surprise people

The kings are a hungry young team with a lot to prove.Desmond’s competition in training camp can only help guys like Donte and Omri to bring their a game.If anything just having him on the roster in case of injury, at a bargain is a good thing.KINGS!!!
