Knicks Sign Sun

The Knicks, searching for more size in the backcourt, have signed Sun Yue, a 6-foot-9 point guard, to a partly guaranteed contract, his agent, Charles Bonsignore, said. Sun spent last season as a reserve for the Los Angeles Lakers, who drafted him in the second round in 2007.

    NICE. As a Knick fan, I’m actually excited about this. He’ll get lots of playing time on the Knicks AND he’ll bring in a huge fanbase. I was wondering where Donnie Walsh was; maybe he’s back from vacation. Although, where the heck are Allen Iverson and Ramon Sessions?

    A 6’9″ Asian point guard on the championship team, yet I’ve never seen nor heard of him?! That means either he was hurt a lot last year…or he’s not really that good!

    Whatever the case, I’m looking forward to seeing what he does in NY. I’ll be on the lookout for him this time.

    AWESOME!! even with duhon and gabe, he should get at LEAST 10 mins a game.. i have yet to see him play (or even on the court) but a 6’9 point guard? Let’s see what the kid can do!

    he is actually pretty good. he is weak on D, but besides Turiaf, what international player isn’t. He is gonna get some nice $$ from Chinese endorsements for being in the NY market. Maybe a pre-Lebron marketing move??

    He’s slept on cause he didnt get much playing time last year but he probably learned a few things from practicing against Kobe. Give him some time before you label him a bust.

The mechanics on his jump shot are there; he shows a good ability to pull up and knock down shots in the break and in the half court set. If he gets his chance on the Knick’s he’ll fit right into coach D’s offense and will help a Knick team that is desperate for shot blocking.
