Amare Feeling Better, Cockier

STAT’s game and health are slowly rounding into shape. As for his self confidence, it never went away: “Sacramento power forward Jason Thompson, all 6 feet 11 inches and 250 pounds of him, was at the free-throw line at US Airways Center on Tuesday night when the Suns’ Amaré Stoudemire loudly chimed in from the lane. ‘I’ve got a mouse in the house at the other end,’ said Stoudemire, officially an inch shorter and a pound lighter. The classic line for a size mismatch in the post drew a dismissive ‘pffft’ from Thompson, who later fouled out in 22 minutes of play.”

    It does sound lame. And it’s not really a disadvantage on Amare’s part when he has so much more experience and is regarded as one of top PFs in the game. Just makes him sound like a douchebag. I don’t know why I’m using that word so much today..

    He would have never made it in the 80′s or 90′s with that…GP, Jordan, Bird, Miller, Maxwell, Barkley, etc…he’d wake up in the middle of the night crying from some of the things they would’ve said to him

    remember when he averaged 37 in that playoff series against the Spurs? I think he is good enough to talk a little trash. And don’t tell me he isn’t athletic anymore blah blah blah. He is ready for this season, ready to average 25+ and 9.

    I dont think Amare should get too excited.Amare can play offense and get points for sure, but he cant play defense like Garnett or Gasol or even Sheed.
