Big Al Out Indefinitely

Kevin Love is undergoing surgery, and Al Jefferson is out with an Achilles’ tendon. So quickly the Wolves frontcourt fell: “In a surprising development Monday, Al Jefferson did not practice because of a sore Achilles’ tendon that caused him to play less than six minutes in the second half Saturday at Milwaukee.”

WOW. That sucks, for Minny… And for those people who drafted Al J in the first round (or 2nd) in Fantasy Basketball.

Like I said, if it wasn’t for bad luck, the Timberwolves would have no luck at all.

Damn…Hope Al is able to bounce back strong. He was playing out of his mind before he down the first time

When an athlete, like Al, is immobilized for several weeks and then returns to full action, he is prone to over stress tendons. This includes the Achilles’ which has flared up on him. Stretching, icing, and heel massage (and possibly anti inflamatory meds) should bring him around by opening night. The remaining 3 preseason games are probably out of the picture.

  • Seth Posted: Oct.20 at 4:45 pm
Looks like I won’t be drafting Big Al for fantasy. Thanks, SLAM! Who the heck will Minny have at center, though? Mark Blount? They’re screwed.

  • migs Posted: Oct.20 at 5:12 pm
NOOO!! There goes my starting C in fantasy. Now’s the time to pick up Gomes folks. Damn, they don’t even have Craig Smith to park in the lane anymore.

AJ: Flash of potential allstar or flash in the pan. We may never know.

  • Brad Long Posted: Oct.20 at 6:49 pm
How does that Bynum All-Star prediction sound now? Seriously though, get well soon, Al.

  • ClydeSays Posted: Oct.20 at 8:30 pm
I can’t believe Sessions signed with them. I hope he enjoys the money. Who’s their next best big man? Brian Cardinal?

  • Knickerbocker Posted: Oct.20 at 10:31 pm
Rubio for Eddy Curry, book it… ;)

  • niQ Posted: Oct.20 at 10:44 pm
Gomes will be awesome. I have a feeling same goes for Corey Brewer.

Johnny flynn for r.o.y.??? Hmm…. Could it be???

  • migs Posted: Oct.21 at 10:20 am
Apparently, he has “flu-like symptoms”, and that’s why he didn’t play… please God, let this be the case!
