Blake Griffin to Finally Suit Up

Blake has been cleared by the doctors to play, and he’ll make his debut tonight against Portland: “It felt good, man,’ Griffin said. ‘Especially just the last three days, I’ve been able to go out there and run up and down but not do any five-on-five or anything like that. It was great.’ His teammates and the coaching staff noticed his increasing agitation at having to observe, having to stop him from doing too much on the court … The rust will take time to lift. Dunleavy thought that Griffin would play 15 to 24 minutes against Portland.”

Good matchup right there, Aldridge vs. Griffin.. I’m amped

hope oden blocks the bejeezus out of him.

Oden looks good so far in the first few preseason games. On another note, DeAndre Jordan is mad underrated, but also because he has to play behind the Caveman (Kaman) and Camby. All eyes on Blake tonight I guess.

Rookie of the Year, regardless of what stats he posts tonight. Good to see he’s getting back in the swing of things before the regular season.

Ryne, you’ve seen this guy shoot the ball, right?

good test for both teams. the obvious advantage is at the two position for portland and maybe aldridge over camby/griffin but as far as starting 5′s it’s a nice matchup. When the bench comes in like they can portland is better

Brad, have you seen the clips play when they had EB? Plenty of plays will be run that will get the ball to Blake within 10 feet of the cup. I expect at leas one facial on Oden tonight.

Glad to see BG getting back, he’s the most hyped rookie this year and will have a target on his back. Also glad Oden is finally healthy, he’s a beast and likely an All-Star if he stays healthy.

Blake did pretty much what was expected of him i guess. 2 bad that Odens numbers were down this game.

    OVERHYPED TO THE MAX.
A freaking rookie who hasn’t done jack, in a draft class that wasn’t even that good, earns a team that majorly sucked HOW MANY NATIONAL TV APPEARANCES?

  • Teddy-the-Bear

Eric Gordon is the future for the Clippers. The sooner they realize this, the sooner they get better.

Eric Gordon will never be a franchise player. HE’S the overrated one.

  • Teddy-the-Bear

Blake Griffin looks like Kris Humphries of the Dallas Mavericks (former Raptor player).

  • Teddy-the-Bear

    Eric Gordon > Blake Griffin.

  • Teddy-the-Bear

Unless Blake proves me wrong, which I hope he will.

  • http://dillanleuyahoo.com Holy Baller

I hope he will. And I really think he will. He’ll never develop into a superstar, but I think he can post better stats than people like Emeka Okafor.

i hope dunnleavy does’nt burn him out in the 1st 10 games and that baron will pass the ball on a 2/1 fast break … p.s. eric gordon is working hard 4 his next contract(not with the clippers)
