Jerebko, Magloire Suspended

According to an NBA press release, Sweeden’s first NBA player, Jonas Jerebko, has been suspended for fighting during his first preseason game against Miami. The Pistons rookie and Jamaal Magloire — who also will miss the season opener — were ejected after throwing punches in the 4th quarter on Monday. Jerebko and Magloire will serve their suspensions commencing with the first game of the regular season in which they are eligible and physically able to play.

In related news, Detroit’s first rounder, Austin Daye, was ejected last night with less than a minute to play for getting tangled up with Carlos Delfino. Detroit players go hard, but someone might remind the rookies that it’s still only preseason.

    I don’t see why Jerebko got suspended really, it was Magloire who put his fist in Jerebkos face, Jerebko basicly did nothing. If you eject the veteran, take the rookie he fought with him?? Replacement refs….

    Daye better not get suspended for the BS vs the Bucks… I wonder which rookie will get suspended next, Summers or Washington?

    everytime i hear magloire’s name, i get infuriated. dude was an “all star” in 2004 while posting dazzling numbers of 13 and 10 that season. he must be the worst fcking “all star” EVER, while camby was never named to the team once. biggest injustice in nba history.

    @albie1kenobie Chrisitan Laetner Vin Baker, and Wally Scerbiazjkcyedb were all-stars as well. I think those three plus Magloire are the worst ever.

    @luv2ball: believe it or not, Vin Baker was actually pretty legit for a few seasons. Laettner did his thing and Sexyback was decent too.
    @Hursty: that comment was completely out of the left field.

    magloire is not even close compared to wally, or christian and vin baker is like 10x better when he was in condition

    Too bad Jonas got suspended I just can’t understand why. Magloire threw a punch and Jonas protected himself. Anyway dudes gonna be pretty good in this league. Sweden baby!

    Love to see that my countryman JJ did stand up for himself, but why was he suspended? Here is a promise: Replacement refs will, after about half of the season, just be refered to as RRs. Jeez.
