You and Many Others Watched Last Night

The execs at Turner are undoubtedly pleased with the ratings from Opening Night: “The NBA season opened with a bang on TNT. Tuesday’s NBA Opening Night doubleheader averaged a 2.8 overnight rating on TNT, up 40% from a 2.0 last year. In particular, Celtics/Cavaliers drew a 3.2 overnight rating, up 52% from a 2.1 for last year’s Opening Night matchup between the same teams … Meanwhile, the Clippers/Lakers nightcap drew a 2.5 overnight rating, up 19% from a 2.1 for Blazers/Lakers last year.”

If Greg Oden can get 12 rebounds and 5 blocks a night I don’t care what he scores!

  • Rog123 Posted: Oct.28 at 1:12 pm
Why can’t people just give oden his props. I’m with doom

The fans want more Sheldon Williams!

Oden is a Beast and will dominate the paint for the next 15 years

  • Clark Posted: Oct.28 at 1:43 pm
Because if you’re team had over 1/4 of their possessions result in turnovers you have to look at where they are coming from. 26 turnovers a game is hard to win with on a regular basis.

Oden can be a best if he stays healthy. It will be interesting if he morphs into a pure defensive specialist ala Ben Wallace or if he becomes more aggresive with his offense.

and this dutch guy was watching it with League Pass. Brilliant.

gerard… sport 1 is broadcasting the nba again. I got that message like a week before it was posted on the other sites. houston is a superstar or two away from being a great team (yao ming/tracy mcgrady) haha

  • J.B Posted: Oct.28 at 4:35 pm
wow, all these dutch people. and crappy sport 1

  • roman Posted: Oct.28 at 4:51 pm
Oden is not dominating anything. 2pts against the Rockets- without Yao Ming. He should of broke out lastnight against the scrub centers Houston has. Give him his props for what- being injured. If Greg Oden can get 12 rebounds and 5 blocks a night I don’t care what he scores- that will only work against scrub teams.

  • Hursty Posted: Oct.28 at 8:09 pm
@roman – Houston has probably the best defensive 4 man in the L on it’s roster. The great forward defenders are playing as centres, that’s all.

Are we all reading the same page?

Are the Clippers really that stacked on paper, but stink that bad. Wow. Baron Davis. 1-10 again LAL, followed by 4-11 last night. What exactly did you do in the off season?
